Walking back from the Biplob we passed the 20 at The Kings, Wood Street and what a surprise! They had Runaway Boys, skiffle or should I say rock & roll group featuring Pete Townsend, no not from The Who but he is very accomplished and great fun to watch. He has another band called Locomotion which sound like they would be great to see. Excellent cask beer, and while there may be no restaurants open on Sunday nights in Swindon they have a great music scene at the 20.

I would like to say our stay at the Kings was not bad. The room we stayed in number 19 all be it a bit on the small size but was reasonably clean and fairly well presented. The staff were friendly and the food was well above average for the hotels star rating. The only complaint I could make was the bed was past it's sell by and really quite hard, but all in all I would recommend the hotel and I would stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay here. We liked the time breakfast is served as we are not early risers! The surroundings are very comfortable and we felt at ease and relaxed throughout our stay. There was live music on the Sunday evening which was very good and entertaining. Would stay here again.

Went for a family meal today with my niece who is a Coeliac. Rang the previous evening to see if they cater for Coeliacs which they assured us they do. Asked again today which food was gluten free before ordering. Had a mediocre meal and then a couple of hours after the meal my niece became violently ill due to being poisoned with gluten. Spoke to the owner who was mildly apologetic but tried to push the blame onto food manufacturers for not making easy to read labels rather than admitting that the blame lay with the sheer incompetence of both himself and his staff team! I definitely would not recommend eating here especially if you are thinking of putting any trust in the knowledge of the staff!

We visited for an evening meal. Surroundings were Ok, parking is quite difficult as with most places in the area. Service was Ok but the food was at the price well above it's quality. There are better options very nearby.
