“good stay, good location”
Reviewed 15 January 2013

good location, quiet and nice room. Large tv on wall is a good bonus, along with the drink making facilities. Ample parking on site and don't forget your free permit for the dash.
Nice friendly staff and the Beefeater next door is a good place to eat and drink. Being just off the M 4, its a great place for a stopover if you need it.

We booked this hotel for one night so that we'd be conveniently based for the McArthur Glen retail park a few miles up the road.

The hotel is just off J16/M4, and thus very easy to get to.

The room, as always, was clean, quiet and comfortable.

We booked a meal-deal in the adjoining Beefeater restaurant. We found this to be different from other branches in the chain in that, instead of a hot servery where you help yourself, breakfast was cooked to order.

It's directly across the road from the Hilton, where we have stayed several times courtesy of Mr Tesco. Quite frankly, there is no difference in the standard of accommodation (apart from the lack of a trouser press, which we've never used). Hilton's choice at breakfast is slightly more extensive but this is reflected in the cost. You usually have to pay to park your car at Hilton, whereas it's free at Premier (or, at least, in the ones we've stayed at). For us, Premier Inn wins hands-down over Hilton every time.

We'd very happily come back here again.

Excellent facilities, cleanliness of the room was excellent. The staff were extremely friendly, attentive and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was superb. Fantastic on line deal which no other could compare to for the festive season.

I stayed here for one night on the 22nd December, the room was in the £19 sale. When I booked I was offered the "meal Deal"which costs £22 each and this includes full breakfast and a three course evening meal with wine or a drink from a set menu with a good choice.

Right from the moment we arrived we were so impressed with the place and had a really nice stay. Ample car parking outside, a very warm welcome at reception and we were soon up to our room. The room was spacious, a very comfortable double bed with lovely clean fresh bedding, a wall mounted TV, tea/coffee making facilities, good lighting, modern bathroom with plenty of good quality towels and stacks of hot water. They give you half an hour free wi fi or if you want more its £3 for twenty four hours. However, in the Beefeater they have free wi fi and after logging in there to our surprise we had their wi fi free in our room until we left!

The Beefeater restaurant was just next door and this is where we had our evening meal and breakfast. We had eaten there back in the summer when we had been staying at a rival establishment so knew it was nice. The breakfast was impressive with a massive choice of buffet items and you could order your cooked breakfast from the waitress. The choice of cereals was nine! This breakfast was far superior to the buffet breakfast we had at the four star Copthorne Tara in London a few weeks ago! So they should take note seriously. Good quality and worth the money.

I would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, quietness, location by the motorway (but not noisy),staff, food in fact I could find no fault. Hope to stay again some time.

We had a special online deal which made it cheaper than a standard Travelodge and there really is no comparison between the two providers for comfort and quality. Staff here are extremely friendly and positive throughout from the reception to the breakfast...
Very clean just a few areas need improving ie Dusty table base, and dusty Red fire alarm in bathroom, Our mattress was very hard rm 58, this was possibly due to us having a soft one at home tho

Room Tip: All rooms are quite !!!

Budget hotel in a convenient location for driving into Swindon. We had a special online deal which made it cheaper than a standard Travelodge and there really is no comparison between the two providers for comfort and quality. Staff here are extremely friendly and positive throughout from the reception to the breakfast - notably (and proactively) so. Family room is nicely decorated with a TV big enough and with enough channels even for our kids :) . Breakfast was very good.

Room Tip: Upstairs is better as you can hear footsteps on the ceiling downstairs - didn't both us (and wit...

I stayed at this Premier Inn recently on a shopping trip at the McArthur Glenn outlet which was very close. The staff were really friendly and facilities excellent. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. There was no noise which surprised me, as it was close to Christmas and I thought that there would be some disturbance with people coming back to rooms after parties, meals out etc. The restaurant next door was also very good. Staff were very accommodating and food was good. Will definately stay there again.

Room Tip: Stayed on second floor and didn't have any noise whatsoever.
