“Interesting”

Jackfield Tile Museum
Ranked #5 of 35 things to do in Telford
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 27 April 2010

Absorbing and informative displays of tiling, their production and use. There are galleries and period room settings. I especially liked the Butcher’s shop and the Bar of a Sunderland pub. The noise in the London Tube Station was very evocative.

There are super wall-length panels of mediaeval stories and nursery rhyme scenes that have been rescued from buildings.

Makes you realise the importance of tile manufacture and have a greater appreciation of your surroundings.
