“Hotel ok, bathroom needs some tlc, other guests rude!”
Reviewed 23 February 2014

Overall the hotel was okay.
I stayed last night with a friend.
The receptionist was friendly on check in and directed us to our room quickly.

Comments on the room:
It was a ground floor room and personally I hate being on the ground floor but I actually didn't mind it as I couldn't hear any outside noise from the room and the ceiling was high so I didn't feel closed in.
Having said that, the walls are thin... from the time we check in to the time we checked out this morning the next door room did nothing but laugh talk and run around loudly. Not really the hotels fault and there's not much they could of done about it so I didn't mention anything.
The bathroom could use a little tlc, the grouting and shower curtain are a little sorrowful but no real complaints. The shower worked and the bathroom is big.
The bed is comfy and personally I found the pillows to be heavenly, they were nice and soft.
The room was clean and very spacious, took me a while to find the kettle though!

We had room service and the food was lovely, nice big portions and very tasty. I couldn't finish mine and my fried has not stopped commenting on how nice the lamb was! The goat cheese ravioli was a real treat for me personally. We did not have breakfast but if the evening meal is anything to go by I bet it is worth the money.

Check out was smooth, the lady who checked us out was very friendly and full of life. It's always nice to see a smiling face when you wake up!

Overall, I have enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

I stayed at the hotel with a few business colleagues recently. The rooms are fine, pillows a bit flat but I asked for another one and there was no problem. The breakfast was good, so no complaints there. I'm a big fan of fitness facilities which is why I chose this hotel and recommended it to my colleagues. The pool was really nice and all one depth, which is good. The other fitness facilities were very good. But the big let down for us were the changing rooms. The showers that worked didn't work very well or the shower heads were completely missing, and most of the lockers were broken. We were not impressed and for this fact alone we would stay at a hotel near the town centre with better fitness facilities next time we visit Telford.

Booked hotel as a birthday treat for my girlfriend, room rate very reasonable for a nice hotel like this one. Upgraded room to an executive as a surprise for just an extra £15.

Check in was very quick, payment made at time of checking in saving time when checking out. Hotel has complimentary Wi - Fi for guests & can be used for different devices. Directed to our room on the first floor at the rear of the hotel, very spacious & spotlessly clean as always. Large work space if needed with a sofa & table meant guests can relax/work in comfort. Large flat screen tv with all freeview channels complemented the room. Complimentary bottles of water & bathrobes also provided as part of the executive upgrade. Good size bathroom with power shower.

Leisure facilities very good, although the jacuzzi wasn't working at the time of our stay, however we were informed of this fact. Good size pool with sauna & steam room give enough choice for guests. Staff in the leisure club friendly & helpful.

Overall an excellent stay, thank you to all the staff who assisted us over the weekend. We will be returning very soon.

Stayed here overnight whilst visiting the ironbridge gorge. Room was clean, tidy and modern with a nice bathroom. Spa and pool facilities were good, and not too busy, although could perhaps have done with a clean.

Didnt try the food or drink.

Only possible downside, although it didnt affect us, is that the hotel is wrapped around the outside of Telford Football Ground. Could be noisy on match days.

Room Tip: The hotel fronts onto a main road, so rooms at the back are better.... unless theres a football matc...

WE have just returned home from a short break. The room was shabby, faded and in need of serious updating. The towels in the bathroom were dirty and used. The toilet did not work. There were no basics in the room like tissues or bottles of water. The bed sheets were definitely not fresh and crisp.
After complaining the following morning, we were upgraded to a junior suite. The toilet did not work yet again and had to be repaired. Bottled water was left in this room....ooooooo such luxury.
Breakfast on day 1 was cooked and fresh. The coffee was not, it was the cheapest, nastiest value coffee I have ever tasted.
On day 2, the breakfast was a dried up buffet, not impressed.
We booked this hotel for the pool and hot-tub. Sadly....not such a hot -tub as it is on a rest every 15 minutes and cools down rapidly. The pool was okay, however the pool area is unclean, filthy doors on the sauna and the hot tub grill unscrubbed in years.
The whole experience felt rather like a Russian Stalag straight from a horror movie!
Basic does little to describe this hotel, it lacks any comforts or charm and needs revamping or knocking down.

Room Tip: do not book this hotel at all!

We had an excellent stay here over New Year 2014. chose the hotel as they had a child friendly NYE do. We stayed 2 nights, there was plenty to do and we even had a free visit to a local kids Softplay centre just for being hotel residents. Pool and spa facilities were great and the kids and us all had great fun. Food was lovely and service was great. Overall a relaxing place to stay, which is high praise when you have 6 year old twins with you :-)

My husband, myself and friends stayed there New Year's Eve as we had a party to attend in the area. Rooms were spacious and well laid out. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We had bed an breakfast, there was plenty of choice just two little issues the pillows were too flat for us and the plates needed to be warmer.
