When we pulled up were were shocked to see its smoking pipes not water pipes lol. Purely our ignorance or imagination!
Truly fascinating.
What a great insight into the production of pipes back in the day.
We purchased some pipes when we left to give to friends. :)
I highly recommend a visit here.

I was unable to visit here as I am disabled and my disability Scooter or wheelchair were not acceptable here or any of their other attractions in Ironbridge. Both my self and my companions were extremely upset by this revelation as we were looking forward to this visit for some days.

The place that time has forgot.

We were watching the information video with other visitors, and an elderly lady used to live in the area and recognised some of the faces on the video. She also remenissed about her time in the area which was an extra bonus.

About an hour to hour and a half should be enough to view the premises.

It is an old and rickety building, but that is part of the charm and expirence

We nearly missed this little museum as it's a bit off the beaten track. That would have been a pity - the workshops were abandoned when production stopped in the 1950s and were left untouched. There are video 'eyewitness' accounts of work there from people who were there in the early 1900s. Not a large museum, but definitely worth a visit.
