“Great hotel and price”
Reviewed 11 April 2009

We stayed for one night. Very modern hotel. Rooms were comfortable and quiet. Bathroom walls were dirty near the light switch and the shower needed a good clean, but everything else was great. The staff were exceptional. The continental breakfast was very good. Would stay here again. Although we would eat dinner elsewhere as food came from another hotel! But for 38 pounds for two including breakfast, you couldn't complain!

Saw this hotel advertised when looking for a cheap weekend in Shropshire but even after reading the reviews I still didn't think it would be as good as it was for 38 pounds b&b for two! On arrival we were greeted on reception by a pleasant helpful member of staff then went up to our room on the 1st floor. The room was extremely modern with tea, coffee making facilities, t.v. internet connection, ironing board etc, walk in shower with toiletries etc. Breakfast was served in the bar area and that was superb-cereals, fruit, juices, cheeses, toast and beans and bacon. My only negative commment was the lack of eating places in the area, there was a shopping centre nearby but that closed early and Wetherspoons was the only other place nearby apart from an Italian restaurant and the Holiday Inn next door where we ate on the Saturday night-ok but not good value for 14.95 for a 2 course carvery. Other than that you had to drive to towns nearby. Having said that I would still return as the hotel itself represented excellent value for money and I have recommended it to friends have who booked it.

I booked this hotel on the strength of other reviews and was not disappointed. It offers great value for money; £45 for a room sleeping 3, (our young child was comfortably accommodated on a sofa bed). The room was clean and adequately furnished, the shower room was also more than satisfactory. Unfortunately our room was next to some extremely rude and noisy guests and while the hotel cannot be held responsible for this, I think the walls generally were quite thin!

The staff we dealt with were very friendly and polite. The breakfast buffet gives fantastic value for money, a wide selection of continetal choices as well as hot food like bacon and beans.

If you are a family just looking for a place to stay for a night or two whilst visiting some of the nearby attractions, this howould be a good hotel for you.

Excellent hotel to very good price without any "extravaganca." Comfortable, modern room and bathroom. Good breakfast. Perfect for one night stay when in Telford area. Also for families passing by. Not a hotel for a longer stay. Area for imorovement is the bar/breakfast room. Modern but not inviting and terrible lightning.

  • Liked — Comforable rooms to a very good price.
  • Disliked — The bar/breakfast area.

stayed 1 night at the international on sat 1 november through
booking.com £45 double room with breakfast. Great hotel just off the M54 ie. 3 minutes off junction 4 and aim for International Centre. Friendly and helpful staff clean and modern rooms , a really great place to stay. When shopping just walk up the steps by the side of the hotel and walk accross the car parks and you are at the shopping centre ie 5 mins walk.A night out is a visit to Weatherspoons by the shopping centre or staying at the hotel bar
which is 24 hours or go next door to the Holiday Inn, but so what for 1 night , just enjoy !!

  • Liked — bright and modern with pleasant staff
  • Disliked — nothing

Stayed one night but wished we could have stayed on for more time here.
Large spacious and well lit reception area with local leaflets and tourist info available. Plenty of nearby on-site car parking spaces available.

Friendly staff in all areas of the hotel, the International is a Clean and modern hotel with two pristine working lifts to all floors.

Room was clean and fresh plenty of towels for shower which was large tiled wet room style.
TV was good with SKY and pay movies available if required.

Small modern bar just off the hotels main foyer, which doubles as the morning breakfast buffet area.

The breakfast is help yourself with a great selection of Cereals, muffins, fruitbread, white and brown rolls, jams, honeys, fruit juices, large rotary self toaster for bread to your own liking.

Selection of good quality teas and coffes available and a massive warmed serving platter of really nice bacon with Large white and brown rolls to fill you up.
The woman who works in the breakfast buffet area is very nice and helpful.

Manager and staff could not be more friendly

The hotel is a short drive from the motorway through Telford in a quiet location but near to all local facilities.

You will have a good quiet undisturbed sleep with no intrusive traffic noise in the hotel.

Best of all the rooms are cheap either through agent booking or call hotel direct and ask for best room price which they will match.

If I go back to Telford this will be were I stay. Highly recommended.

  • Liked — Friendly hotel staff,The price is based on a per room basis and cleanliness is excellent, Good breakfast included.
  • Disliked — Never really disliked anything at the international.

What a great little hotel. I booked three rooms for a Friday night at £39 through laterooms.com. Hotel fairly easy to find and just off the motorway.

We were greeted by the most friendly girl on reception (Danielle I think her name was). She was professional, accomodating and very helpful. We arrived quite late at the hotel and hadn't eaten so she took it upon herself to phone a few nearby restaurants to find out what time they shut. We ended up eating next door at The Holiday Inn which was OK. T

The rooms are fairly small but very clean and comfortable. TV had Sky channels and the bathroom was spacious with a good shower. We also had a pull out sofa bead which was set up while we had dinner.

Breakfast was great! It said continental on the booking form but they had all sorts of cereals, cheeses, rolls, toast, beans, bacon, fruit and you could help yourself to tea, coffee, juices etc.

To sum up, all the staff we met were friendly and smiling. I would highly recommend this hotel especially at the price of £39!!!
