“Great little hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 March 2014

From the beginning of the booking until check out the staff at this great little hotel have been amazing. Stayed for 2 nights 7th March until 9th March in Room 1. An ok size room with a four poster bed and lovely big free standing bath, and a great powerful shower.
Mattress on the bed was very soft. To soft and meant that it was not a good nights sleep, and be warned it is a warm room!

The room is in the house just above the main entrance, which meant on the Friday night when there was a party held at the hotel it was very noisy. There was a great deal of noise and door banging until almost 1am which was very annoying. I wish I had asked about functions when booking otherwise I would have changed the date of our visit.

The room is in the old house has some lovely features but is slightly on the tired side. The carpet has a few dirty marks and the window in the bathroom is moldy. Also only one of the bedroom windows opened, which was a pain as this is a warm room in March, hate to think what it would be like on a hot summers day.

The staff at the hotel made this an amazing stay though. So friendly and chatty and the food is out of this world. Especially the black pudding scotch egg starter and Moroccan Salmon main course. Wine is a reasonable price for a hotel with a good selection.

All in all it was a very pleasant stay just wish that we had slept better on the first night and the bed was more comfortable as I've come away after 2 nights more tired than I went.

I would be very tempted to go back, but next time I would like to stay in room 4, as its in the newer part of the hotel I presume it would be quieter.

My thanks go to all of the staff though - you should be very proud of yourselves for being so welcoming.

Room Tip: Room 1 has a four poster bed and big free standing bath, but is noisy - check to see if there are an...

Thank you for taking the time to review us on Trip Advisor. I am delighted to read that in the main you enjoyed your recent stay at Hadley Park House Hotel.

I am sorry to hear that you were disturbed by other guests attending a function. It is our usual policy to advise at the time of booking if the hotel is hosting a function. I am sorry if that was missed.

We are currently scheduling in a programme of refurbishment. As you can appreciate at an independently owned hotel, maintenance is ongoing (a little like the Forth Bridge!) and there are plans to upgrade the rooms in the main house.

It's great that you enjoyed the food - everything is freshly prepared by our Chef and his kitchen brigade using a selection of seasonal ingredients. We share all reviews with our staff so they will see your kind comments - Thank You.

We do hope to welcome you again soon.

I booked this hotel whilst travelling with colleagues from The Netherlands & Germany. The rooms were extremely comfortable, the food was good and the staff very friendly and helpful and we paid no more than we would have paid for a "business hotel" - the souless chains of inconsistent quality with hard beds - I am thinking Hilton. Frankie - you were great!

This has to be the best hotel in the area, we got married here in 2011 and return every year for our anniversary. The food is amazing, the staff are great and bedroom 1 is beautiful !
I would highly recommend a stay over or even just a meal in the hotel. Mark and his team are great.

We arrived at Hadley Park at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon to be greeted by Frankie who was very friendly and after we had a lengthy travel being diverted due to the flooding she prepared a sandwich for us despite the chefs not being on duty.
She was attentive throughout our stay and was extrrememly helpful and friendly. You can tell the hotel is privately owned and not a corporate company by the general attention to detail from Hadley the cuddly bear in the bedroom to the obvious pleasure the staff get from working with each other.
We had a fantastic dinner and the service from all the staff was excellent and we felt like we were in a good 5* restaurant - nothing was too much trouble and i would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to anyone wanting to get away from it all. we didnt venture into the gardens due to the dreadful weather but in the summer this would be a fantastic place to unwind. Well done Hadley Park

Room Tip: ask for the heating to be adjusted at reception as the rooms are very warm

Form the time you arrive to the check out, it is a very warm and friendly hotel.
The food is excellent, and the small but well stocked bar is a relaxing place to unwind before and after dinner.
I would recommend Hadley Park House to any body.
We enjoyed our weekend break.

Decided at short notice to go away for the weekend and enjoyed a good meal, overnight stay and excellent breakfast at Hadley Park House Hotel. All the staff were very polite and helpful, the food was well prepared, well presented and tasted good. The only slight grumble was poor lighting in the room and a very soft bed but would certainly return. Good weather on the Sunday enabled us to have a stroll around Ironbridge before returning home.

It has to be said that my past experiences of Christmas works parties have been less than satisfactory, so many times have i had poor quality pre prepared Christmas food with table seating so cramped one can not comfortably enjoy the experience,Thankfully to say the Hadley Park House Hotel stands out as providing a thoroughly decent Christmas doo, Good food, plenty of room to move around, attentive service , a disco for the revellers and a quieter area for peace lovers, all together a top venue.
Rooms were spacious and comfortable , breakfast was fine too.
