Had a nice lunch after a Saturday lunch time walk through the fields around the pub. I do like there Stilton and bacon melt and a badger ale.

Its nice to see these oldy worldy pubs around and that not all have been taken over by brewery's and chains

We had an enjoyable 4.5 mile circular walk over local footpaths, then sat down to a tasty lunch in this warm friendly pub. There were ten of us and the service was excellent even though the pub was busy with other groups having Christmas lunches.

I was told by a friend not to go & eat at the the Plough as the food he had last time was horrible, but that was a year ago so as we live close we went, I wish now I had listened to my friend now
The Chicken I had was so over cooked & my wife had a dirty plate, when we did mention about the the plate, the land lady which we found out after it was the land lady by one of the locals came flying from the kitchen & in a rude voice said you can't please everybody can you , then snatch the plate away , So I didn't mention about the chicken being over cooked just in case she blew a gasket, I would never go back & wouldn't recommend to any body
