Stayed for one night and yes it is a 10 minute walk from South terminal (use a trolley). Fine hotel and quiet too but why do so many English hotels try and rip us off with the Internet.
£5.00 an hour !! tip- use McDonalds across the road for free wifi.
Yes also the air conditioning is like a small jet engine in the room.

We are glad to learn that your stay was satisfactory and take your feedback on board with our internet charges. Had a nice stay at this hotel - the check in experience left something to be desired but once you're in the rooms the quality is great (not luxurious or stylish but quality nonetheless). Only a short drive away to Gatwick airport (it was cheaper to park at the airport than at the hotel so that's worth checking too).

We are very sorry we did not fully meet with your expectations on arrival and are glad to learn that you liked our spacious rooms.

We are only 700 yards from the South terminal and a walking map is also uploaded on our official website. Guests who wish to walk take approx. 10-15 mins. The whole pathway is sign posted from the South Terminal. Guests are also able take the shuttle buses which are operated by another company in the area. Journey on the bus is chargeable.

Car parking is also available at the hotel and a fee applies for overnight parking to all guests (residents or non-residents). Our parking charges are competitive to the other hotels in the area and we do regularly review them to ensure we do not charge more than our neighbours.

AC unit in the room was noisy and blowing out hot air, despite asking reception to sort it out. In the morning felt frazzled as though I'd slept in a sauna. Would rather have stayed at home and left for the airport at5am than stay overnight at Gatwick.

Thank you for leaving your feedback for us. Although it is never pleasant to hear of problems encountered by our customers, feedback from valued guests such as yourself enables us to ensure the quality of our service delivery.

We are very sorry to learn about your inconvenience with the AC unit in your room. Our air-conditioning system is state of the art and has options to control the room temperature from the bedroom unit. As we are located behind the runway, the building is triple glazed to avoid airplane noise and hence the windows in the bedrooms do not open. For this reason, the air-conditioning in the room cannot be switched off permanently to ensure that there is always fresh air circulation in the room.

The AC unit has a running motor inside the unit and we appreciate that for some guests who are not used to any noise at all when sleeping can be inconvenienced with this.

Unfortunately, we are unable to retrieve your booking details with your Trip Advisor ID and find it unusual that we could not provide a solution if the matter was reported to us.

Please accept our apologies again and we sincerely hope that you do not take this as a common occurrence and only treat this is an isolated incident and we get the opportunity to serve you again in the not to near future. Thank you again for choosing Marriott Hotels.

We stayed here for one night before flying to Europe - we booked a 'Park HERE - fly there' rate - naively believing that we would park at the hotel, as we have done at many other Marriott airport hotels. NO! Your car is taken away in the middle of the night and returned to you at the terminal on your return. As it happened, the system worked perfectly, but it was not what we were expecting - hence we had items in the car that we would otherwise have removed.

The hotel itself is fairly typical, but as a Courtyard, and as an airport hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, the TV fairly lacking in channels and the bar / restaurant expensive.

The hotel offers a shuttle to the airport, but it is only a few minutes walk away along a flat, well marked path, so the shuttle is a waste of money - even if you have luggage.

All in all we had a good night's sleep, and the car was returned in good condition, so I would have no problem staying here again when we fly out of LGW.

Please accept our apology for this unfortunate situation; we appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us.

The hotel has offered car parking packages to their customers since its opening in 2009. Due to the limited capacity of on-site parking spaces our packages have always been for off-site parking whether the booking is made directly or indirectly with the hotel. This is to make space available for those guests who wish to park their car on-site. We advertise this information quite clearly on our official website. All parking packages start from the day of the guests’ arrival. If a guest requests for their car to remain on site we have to apply an additional charge of £25 per night (rate correct as of 18.06.14) as we have to pay for the parking offsite and chargeable space is occupied on site.

We are glad to learn that all aspects of your accommodation were otherwise satisfactory.

Fair price, ok service, comfortable bed ian a functional room. 2.70 for half a lager way to expensive..... Food very very average, you would be better off getting a sandwich from a supermarket. Service in the restaurant was attentive and knowledgeable. There are better places to stay and eat at Gatwick, of that I am sure, but if you are just looking for a clean, inexpensive and comfortable bed, near the airport, then you have the ideal hotel..... Just avoid the rip off prices in the bar.

Room Tip: Avoid paying high prices in the bar and ordinary food in the restaurant..... Take your own drink and...

We are sorry to learn that you find the prices for our food and beverage offerings expensive. Our hotel has a very captive market and we regularly review these to ensure that we are able to offer our customers competitive prices to the other hotels in the area to bring back regular customers. We are currently also offering a FIFA World Cup menu and have spent a lot of time and effort creating a separate area for this occasion where our guests can enjoy this event in an appropriate ambience.

Our Casterbridge Grill (open for Breakfast and Dinner service) prides itself for quality steaks and outstanding service and we are sorry again that we could not meet with your expectations.

Our Lounge Bar offers food from 10.00 am - 11.15pm, 7 days a week and prices of dishes are lower than the Restaurant. We also offer Room Service from 12.00pm - 10.00pm.

Please accept our apologies again and we do hope to see you in the not to distant future.

For a busy airport hotel was nothing special Breakfast was very average Wifi in the rooms and the TV wouldn t work gave up as arrived after midnight not a place I would chose Ok when someone else paying good place to park for short trip but pricey

We are a very busy hotel dealing with approx. 300-400 guests on a daily basis but that should not reflect in our guest dealings and the service we endeavour to achieve.

There is a Duty Manager available 24 hours to meet with any reasonable requests our guests have. We are sure if the matter was reported to us we could have either resolved the issue for you or in worst cases moved you to another room. Your comfort is our priority.

We are sorry again and hope that we get the opportunity to turn this around for you. Thank you for choosing Marriott Hotels.

This hotel is situated close to Gatwick south terminal, infact we did not use the hotel's shuttle service. We took a leisurely stroll of about 10 minutes. The hotel is clean and modern. We chose to park through the Hotel. Your car is left at the Hotel and is returned on your return. All went without any problems. On the night of our stay we walked to the south terminal and ate a meal at the Witherspoon pub which using the main terminal building and reasonablly priced.
