I stayed only one night but was completely enchanted by the property and its owner, Margarita. It is no surprise that many reviews mention her personally as she is a huge part of why one loves this experience. She is very gracious and charming, but not at all the hovering hostess. I arrived in a heavy rain and was immediately ushered to my room. She provided me with a sandwich and two beers for 10 GPB.
The room I had was Orchid and it is really lovely. Margarita has decorated her establishment with an eye to creating a calming and very serene environment. It may seem odd to remark on this, but the whole house smelled wonderful without being cloying or overwhelming. She has a beautiful touch and a real appreciation for making it a good experience for her guests.
My flight was fairly early and she arranged a crossiant, cereal, juice, coffee and toast breakfast for me.
The train from Victoria cost 14 GPB and one should expect to pay 5 GPB for the cab to the property. Do not walk, it is uphill and traffic is quite heavy. My cab ride to the airport cost roughly 11 GPB so staying close to the airport is not a real price saving unless you have a car. I ended up leaving the hotel at about the same time as I would have left the Victoria station so it is not really a savings in time either. However, it is a beautiful property well managed and designed for comfort, the perfect finish to a holiday.

The the attention to detail in the renovation of this B &B is really great. I would have preferred not to have chosen what I wanted for breakfast when we checked into the hotel in the afternoon but when the breakfast was served all was forgiven - it was superb.
We stayed in Lily which has a small double bed but a good sized bathroom with bath and separate shower. The bed was super comfortable and the room was upstairs at the back of the building.
The only down side was that Windfalls is very close to a busy main dual carriageway and we could hear the traffic noise if we opened the window.

Withn minutes of booking we had a lively welcoming email with recommendations of local restaurants, asking if we had any special request. The hotel is beautifully finished the service intimate and the breakfast was amazing.

Well we have just got back from a break away for my husband and I. It was completely stunning. The place is beautifully decorated, very tranquil and spotlessly clean. I wish ALL hotels were like this, we really did not want to leave.
The room was flawless, the bed was sooo comfy. Honestly i can't fault a single thing, we were made to feel very very welcome and at home (just a much better one than our own!).
Breakfast was perfect and nothing was too much trouble Margarita was extremely accommodating to any of our requests.

There is not much else i can say other than you won't feel disappointed staying here.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Lotus room but i am pretty convinced all of them are equally stunning.

I booked this b&b as a surprise for my bf's 30th birthday and what a wonderful surprise it was! Completely understand why this has received countless perfect reviews and ratings. This b&b is absolutely flawless and the owner Margarita was very welcoming and friendly. She went out of her way to make sure it was a memorable stay and even upgraded us to one of the bigger rooms which made our day. They have a little dog too which was really cute and loved attention (he is kept in a separate area of their home though). This b&b was OUTSTANDING. The entrance hall and guest lounge was like something out of a magazine and the decor and attention to detail has to be seen to be believed. Pure class. We stayed in the Lotus room. We did go out for a meal, but could have stayed in this room all day! The four poster bed was so so comfortable with goosedown duvet and pillows. I didn't want to leave it! There was a massive flatscreen tv and a playstation console to play games or dvd's. The bathroom was also very modern with heated floor and rain shower. It was faultless. Upon arriving in the afternoon, Margarita gave us cream tea and scones which was a lovely treat and the breakfast in the morning was 5 star. Fresh fruit, organic yoghurt, cereal, tea/coffee/orange juice, toast and that was just to start! Then we had the choice to pre-book our choice of hot breakfast off the menu that was provided. We both had the full English and it was also amazing! All in all we had a wonderful and memorable stay. The special thing about this place for us though, was even though we were staying in a faultless and luxurious place with everything of such good quality, we were made to feel so relaxed and at ease. We have stayed in b&b's before and have often felt awkward and notice that we are in someone elses home..However this place is special in that you really don't feel like that and so this instantly puts you at ease...even though we still received an impeccable service while we were there. We would recommend this to anyone, either staying due to a flight to/from gatwick, a special occassion, or even just because...We will definitely be returning! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: Whichever room you choose it will be wonderful!!

We recently stayed here after a late flight into Gatwick. I knew it would be good from the reviews and the photographs but we were still bowled over with the hotel - it's straight out of a Kelly Hoppen interior design book - flawless and hugely impressive. The most comfortable bed I've ever slept in and Margarita is a gracious and fantastic host (who does a great breakfast too!)
Will definitely be returning!
