I went for a run 3 times while I was away and it was absolutely fine but I would not want to be around there after dark!

Lovely lakes and walks around it, great little farm and play area, a perfect day out! Especially with a picnic! Would most definitely recommend! Parking just £3 for the day, very good value.

The lake, the woods and the gardens are glorious. The zoo is great for kids and adults alike. Worth a visit in each season to see the colours change.

It was our first visit to Tilgate Park and what a treat it was, there is so much to do with a lake, golf, animals and a maze and beautiful Gardens. We stopped at The Walled Garden Cafe which was absolutely delightful, I had a Brie ploughmans which was served on a slate with a chunky piece of fresh bread, homemade red onion marmalade and homemade coleslaw, this was restaurant quality but at only £5.95 we were amazed, my husband had a brie and bacon panini which was served with chips and homemade coleslaw and the children had homemade cheesey pasta and sausage chips and beans the sausage was excellent quality and stood out over the usual ones most places give to children, at under £20.00 for a family to eat out was fantastic, the staff were so friendly and helpful, After a visit to the meerkats and a walk around the maze we popped back in for tea and a slice of cake and have to say the cakes were a real treat, we will definatly be telling our friends and will be coming back very soon.

Always worth a visit, always take a picnic as the smith and westerns charge a small fortune for food that can lead to disapointment. The park benefits from large open space so its always easy to find a nice spot.
