If you are thinking of using the hotel & shuttle service, think again. The hotel is fine - nice rooms, pleasant restaurant albeit expensive, and good service. Unfortunately the positives of the hotel are now totally eclipsed by the pitiful experience of the shuttle service. Outbound was fine, inbound anything but. After a ten-hour flight from Mexico and a one-hour wait for our baggage we waited at the appropriate bus stop for over an hour to be returned to the hotel and our car. Telephone calls to the hotel about the long wait were of little use other than to be advised we could get a taxi. Large party, had already purchased return shuttle tickets so we felt little inclined to do this.Why does Gatwick Worth only shuttle once an hour while others do it every 15 or 20 minutes? Finally got back to hotel and our car which looked like it had been driven through a swamp and parked in a forest of fir trees. Whilst I accept the shuttle service is probably supplied by a third party the hotel must accept some responsibility for the level of service - which was far from evident when we complained. Live and learn - we'll never use this one again.

With reference to the bus transfers, whilst the service is provided by a third party we do care very much that our guests are getting the best service possible and as a result of your feedback I am meeting with the bus service provider to work on the service they are delivering- that is evidently not up to the standard we would expect for our guests.

Stayed at hotel prior to our flight. Service on arrival was a bit slow as there was 1 person checking in and another on the phone. Once got to check in as I booked hotel 2 hours prior to arrival everything had to be done manually (no fault of check in desk) although more people arriving and only 2 people serving.

Room was lovely and clean.

We sat down to eat and they bought the restaurant menu over but you could also eat from bar menu in restaurant which we were not informed about and our meal came to £45 just for 2 drinks and two steaks (steaks were to die for!).

The hotel itself was lovely, comfy beds, very clean & decorated lovely. staff were very pleasant and helpful. But the price of the food and drink is extortionate. £16 per person for breakfast and nearly £5 per pint. There is a garage about a 5 minute walk away and various places to eat about a 5-10 minute car journey away. Ideal for our stay before our trip to Gatwick airport, the transfers were good and cheap £4 per person and arrived on time. The hotel itself was lovely but expensive.

Thank you for posting your feedback on Tripadvisor, we value your comments. I was pleased to learn you liked our newly refurbished hotel and the decor within.
With reference to the breakfast price, we do actually offer lots of packages that can be purchased on arrival (ie. 2 breakfasts for £20) that inflict savings on our guests. I am unsure as to why you were not offered one of the packages on arrival and will instruct further staff training to ensure this does not go amiss again.

I use hotels in this area every week, though have only just found the HI Worth. The hotel is a typical HI though recently decorated to a good standard, a really nice bar &restaurant area, with helpful staff. The room was large again just decorated with good facilities and features. Room service in the evening was prompt and food a good standard, will use this hotel again.

We have stayed here under the name Gatwick Worth for the last eight years, booking a one night, pre-holiday stop with 15 days parking. We were pleasanty suprised to find it had been totally refurbished and was now under the control of Holiday Inn. All the new rooms were nicely decorated and the staff polite and friendlly. The hotel runs an hourly bus service to the terminals, taking about 25 minutes at a cost of £4.00 pp. Very good value if you book early as for the two of us, our B&B, and included two course evening meal deal, and 15 days parking was only £108.00. This price has probably gone up since the Holiday Inn take-over (we booked earlier in the year before this) but still good value compared ot the on-airport hotels,

we used this Hotel as a 1 night stop over with 2 weeks Holiday parking. excellent value for money, cannot fault the Hotel or Staff in any way. Room was very clean and comfortable. Pickup for the Airport was easy and convenient just a shame they do not do a service so your car an be brought to the airport on your return. Overall very happy and have booked again for September.
