“Good stop off before a flight”
Reviewed 2 September 2012

This hotel was a good stop off before a flight. Only a short drive to the airport. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast £20 two adults child free.Food is served either from the bar or in the resturant a bit expensive though. You can go into the village to find pub food, its not far away.

This hotel has clean and tidy rooms. The staff were polite and friendly. Very quiet hote, couldn't hear any noise from roads or aeroplanes. The hotel has a restaurant but we went into the town nearby for dinner. The shuttle bus was on time, which quickly transfered us to the airport and picked us up again shortly after we landed.

After struggling to find it (co-pilot error and dodgy Sat Nav) we did eventually park up and check in. Efficient and polite staff and a wonderful room. We didn't need an evening meal or to use the bar facilities as we were out that evening, but the room, stay and breakfast (buffet style) were excellent.
The highlight for me though, was mentioning to the receptionist on departure that the handle for the toilet flush was loose and would need looking at before it fell off, the duty manager beside her enquired what the problem was and had called maintenance and arranged for it to be repaired before we had even settled the bill. Awesome service. Will definately use again especially if we have to travel from Gatwick, as it is worth the little expense.

Having recently stayed at (and reviewed) a number of overseas hotels it was a pleasure to spend a night in a good quality hotel in England. The joy of having a spotlessly clean room (and bathroom), beds more comfortable than at home and efficient service, all for a reasonable price was a joy.

We stayed here as an overnight point for our cycle from London to Eastbourne, and it was much better than the small B&B in Horley that we stayed at last year. The importance of a good nights sleep cannot be overemphasised when you are cycling long distances. The hotel is also on the outskirts of town (hence less worry about leaving out bikes out overnight than the other Holiday Inn that is closer to the centre). It is also about half a mile off the Worth Way so not much of a detour from cycle route 21.

We did not eat at the hotel, so I cannot comment about the food, but we found a lovely place (The Hillside Inn) for dinner at RH10 7SX. Highly recommended. Final bit of advice for other cyclists, there are bike racks for 4 bikes just outside the Nuffield spa (the building next to the hotel)

Stayed here after my cousin's wedding. Lovely clean room with comfortable luxury bed - I paid for a standard room and ended up with an executive room at no additional cost.

Efficient, polite staff. Excellent location for my cousin's wedding venue.

Wish they had biscuits with the tea and coffee in the room!

We booked this hotel with parking prior to a long haul morning flight the following day. As a priority club member my family and I have stayed in many Intercontinental Group hotels so have plenty to compare with. We were very impressed on arrival at our room. The room with two double beds was newly refurbished and huge, more than adequate for our family of four. My son and I ate lunch in the bar and the sandwiches were fresh and delicious so we were looking forward to dinner. However, this is the one area that really let the hotel down. It was probably the worst meal I have experienced at a Holiday Inn. We were on a package that included dinner and the menu was very limited. Other diners' food looked much more appetizing so it may have been that due to the meal already being paid for, standards were lower. My husband and I hardly ate our main course. We did however get an excellent night's sleep and breakfast was delicious. I would possibly stay here again but would go elsewhere for dinner if I did.

We stayed here for just one night to break up a very long car journey. I was expecting your average airport hotel but we were both pleasantly surprised. The staff at check in were lovely, and upon arrival into our room the travel cot has already been set up and made (along with two blankets, blue and pink....nice touch).
The room was spotless with a fabulously clean shower and bath. The bed was so comfortable.
Our baby wasnt very well and was difficult to settle so my husband decided to take him out in the pram quite late at night..The staff were lovely and gave a sympathic and reassuring smile as he passed reception, which was nice.
Breakfast was a buffet- very fresh and plenty of choice.
My little bug-bear in hotels is high chair cleanliness- and this one was the best yet. Totally spotless and with an individual cloth napkin.
I cannot fault this hotel...Thank you.

Room Tip: We had a ground floor room which was perfect with the pram.
