We decided as we had eaten here before that we would go to the Frogshole for christmas dinner, but was left very disappointed. The landlord was very miserable seemed to off lost his chirstmas spirit and was very rude. We were basically rushed through all our courses no sooner had you finished one another was brought out you didnt even have time to digest the previous course, considering the price of the meal was not upto the standard you would expect. The one positive was the bar staff, landlady and other people serving were all very welcoming and friendly. The experience has left a bad taste and we are reluctant to return back.

This pub/restaurant is situated in a lovely leafy area of Maidenbower and is quickly accessible from the M23 motorway.

It is clean, modern and a little stylish with a yester-year feel to it and there is ample secure off-road parking.

The restaurant itself is very cosy with a lovely fire in winter. Sunday roasts are very good value for money. As usual you can choose from several roast meats and help yourself to as much vegetables as you like. The a la cart menu is basic but caters for everyone, including children.

The main attraction for me is the very large, well maintained leafy garden during summer. Catching late sun you can enjoy the rays and your cold beverage of choice at one of the family sized garden tables for hours. And it feels a bit like you've left the urban sprawl behind you even though you only a few miles from the town centre and Gatwick airport.

Met up with friends here primarily because they accept dogs. Food was great, service superb all snuggled up in front of the huge open fire. Reasonably priced and fresh food. Can't wait for the summer when we can use the garden as well. Will definitely go here again as the setting is so much better than the Leisure Park just up the road.
