Stayed just for 1 night prior to an early flight from Gatwick last month and found this hotel to be something of a hidden gem if you don't mind a 10-15 minute comute in the morning. The hotel was about half the price of Premier Inn by the airport and in my opinion was a million times nicer.

We arrived by train and there's an entrance literally on the train platform of Crawley Station into the hotel. Reception always seemed busy with people checking in but the staff were very polite and helpful. We were going to book the hotel's shuttle bus to the airport at £3.50 each but instead decided on a taxi which was only £9 (so probably cheaper anyway if you have 3 or 4 people). The receptionist was kind enough to book us a taxi the evening before and the driver was there waiting for us when we checked out at 6am.

The rooms are very comfortable with a pretty big TV. The bathrooms were very nicely done too with seperate shower cubicle and bath. Didn't try the restaurant as it seemed a bit pricey but thankfully the hotel is only a 10 minute walk from Crawley High Street, so we took a walk and got a bite to eat in town.

I would reccomend this hotel to anyone flying early out of Gatwick Airport and would certainly stay here again if the need arose.

Best hotel i 've ever stayed in the UK!!! great value, very clean, very spacious and comfortable, just next to the crawley train station. It runs a bus service to gatwick, starting as early as 4.35 am and then running every hour. It takes 20 min to the airport and costs 3.50 pounds. Very convenient! otherwise you can catch a taxi paying 11 pounds.

the only downside is that the bathroom can be a bit slippery after a shower, because the water slides outside the shower cabin. other than that it is excellent. highly recommended!!!!!!

Got good hotel with parking rate using compare site, received clear travel instructions, impressed when arrived but not too chuffed when told I had to take a taxi as my 6am flight was too early for the organised coach. This is not detailed on the website and of course bumps up the cost. Shame as only complaint, but fundamental in my booking in the first place.

Room Tip: Email Arora if your flight is around 6am and pre arrange taxi and haggle the price.

The Arora International Hotel Gatwick is a great layover hotel. It is not a hotel to stay in for a vacation though because of the location. The first thing I should mention is that it is not located right near the airport as many travel sites imply. It is approx 7 miles from the airport and you have to get on the highway to get to the airport. This highway ( the M25 or M23 can't remember which ) is notorious for traffic jams so keep that in mind. We had no problems with traffic and once we got proper directions, it was a quick drive to and from Gatwick airport.
There were lots of pilots and flight attendants staying at this hotel so it must be fairly convenient & popular among avid travelers .

We had done a cross country trip while in England (London, Bath, StoneHenge, Cambridge etc) so we
were exhausted and decided to book one last night near the airport so we could be rested up for
our flight the next morning. I was super happy with this decision. We found a great rate on Hotels.com The staff were very helpful at the front desk. The first night includes free WiFi. There is a tiny convenience store in the lobby in case you forget any necessities or need last minute souvenirs . The sports bar downstairs is basic and cozy and open til 11pm. The restaurant was very overpriced. The food seemed like it was supposed to be upscale but it was not that impressive. There is really not much more than residential neighborhoods surrounding the hotel so I guess the hotel can charge whatever they want. We ate there and didn't mind paying for the convenience factor as we were tired and just wanted a warm dinner and some champagne before bed.

I got a great night sleep at this hotel. When I called down fr extra pillows they arrived at my door within two minutes. The staff was always great.

The bathrooms were perfectly clean. Our room had a separate bathtub and shower which was nice. The shower was tiny but super clean. The hotel has a clean, modern feel throughout. Sort of felt like a hotel you would stay in while on a business trip in Atlanta or somewhere similar.

I give a four star rating while keeping in mind that this is definitely a layover / business trip hotel- not a place to stay while vacationing.

I love this hotel for the location sittign atop Crawley railway station just a few short minutes direct train service to Gatwick airport, 40 minutes to central London on direct trains, used by many airline crews. The hotel rooms either face the railway line, fields or inside the atrium, all well furbished, clean, secure (lift access is by room key only) and spacious. Bathrooms have seperate tub and good shower. Unfortunately the time you get to enjoy the room is limited as this hotel has a 1000 check out policy and is a 4* hotel? I don't know if I am the only one thinking this is bit of a cheek when paying 4* prices but maybe they think everyone is heading from the airport, lets get them all out early.

Room Tip: High floor overlooking fields will ensure you may get some sunshine in the room of the very little w...

To call this an airport hotel requires a stretch of the imagination, being 11 miles distant from the airport and close to the centre of Crawley. We arrived shortly after midnight and the hotel was easy to find. We were surprised at the amount of under cover car parking available, which made us wonder at the occupancy rates and its popularity. We eventually found the entrance to the hotel from the car park. It is a small door just wide enough to pass through with a suitcase after which you are faced with two flights of stairs up to a drop off area and the actual entrance. There is no lift or any means to summon assistance with luggage. There were no discernible signs to allow access to the drop off area. We checked again in the daylight.
The 3 night staff in reception were curt and unfriendly and we felt they were displeased with us for interupting their conversation. We were allocated room 369, the furthest room from reception on this floor. Upon entry there was a very strong smell of mould and my allergies immediately kicked in. Reception agreed to move us to another room being 360 and the Concierge was despatched to assist us. The Concierge informed us the smell was due to a recent fire in the area and the subsequent flooding. We wondered why the Concierge knew of the problem and management did not.
We had paid for a "Superior" room and we had no opportunity to compare it to an "Inferior" room but it was very small. Fortunately we had requested a double bed. If there had been twin beds it is doubtful we could have entered the room. The room was very clean and well appointed and contained one dining room style chair, one lounge chair and a tiny circular occasional table. There was no infomation in the room to tell us about the hotel save for a room sevice menu, from which we assumed there was no dining room or other facilities. As it was clearly impossible for two of us to eat breakfast in this room, we determined to leave as early as possible to find somewhere to breakfast. The provision of comestibles was interesting. There was coffee for two people, tea for two, decaf coffee for one and milk for one and an half people.
The bathroom was very clean and again well appointed. The tissues container was well placed albeit absent any tissues and there was only one hand towel.
Upon leaving we found the Receptionist to be very pleasant but in truth as the room was prepaid there was little for her to do.
I would say to Mr Arora, you have a beautiful building suitable for single guests but to transform into an adequate hotel you need to do something about access and employ some competent staff who care about their jobs.

Room Tip: Avoid room 369 and surrounding area. Avoid the hotel if you have any infirmity or if there are more...
