We arrived at the hotel late in the evening, checked in and freshened up before heading down for a bite to eat, we chose the restaurant and had a good meal even though my husbands pet hate was encountered - why do they randomly add extras to your meal but not mention it on the menu, especially if that item/items are not to your liking!!!! Room was fine, reasonably good sleep before buffet breakfast which was good and then checked out but we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel till we returned to use their shuttle to the airport for our flight home. Would definitely stay at this hotel again for the same thing or longer.

It's a good hotel for a business stay.

The rooms are a little dated are of a good standard. The TVs are all fairly new saumsung LCD units so you can plug USB devices in and watch movies. The pillows and duvet feel very flat and seemed to be very dusty but otherwise the bed is comfortable.
The bathroom is great, decent sized shower with plenty of flow and steady temperature. There is also a separate bath.

The food is very expensive and of average quality. It's quite easy to spend £35 per person before even considering drinks (£4.80 for a pint of Guinness).
The alternative is to walk into Crawley which is pretty rough and lacks much other than average Italian restaurants and a couple of sketchy curry houses.

The staff are great here. There's plenty of staff around and they will go out of their way to help. The management also get involved rather than delegate so if you have any problems they will sort them out as a priority.

The leisure facility is great considering the standard of the average hotel gym. It was a little busy when I visited but that was at the peak.
There is a large room with cardio machines (bike, treadmill and cross-trainer) and an assortment of the standard gym machines (smith, leg curl, leg press, leg extension, upright row, opposing cables, shoulder press and chest press). The free weights in the main room only go up to 25kg but it keeps the less enthusiastic users from clogging up the alternative room.
There is a second room which caters more for enthusiasts which sets the gym apart from other hotel offerings in the area. This room contains an Olympic bench, squat rack, preacher bench and a rack of free weights going up to 50kg.

As an overall package this hotel is 4/5 but due to the poor bedding and expensive food I would put the local Premier Inn ahead in terms of comfort and value. The rooms in the Premier Inn were very modern, had high quality bedding and food was of similar quality but half the price.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the west wing if you want to avoid train noise.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments. It is always a pleasure for the team here to have their consistent hard work recognised by our valued guests and we will be sure to share this with the team

We are disappointed to hear that you found our restaurant to be too highly priced, we hope that on a future stay you may like to try our Table D’hôte menu at £19.95 for two course or £22.95 for three-courses.

We hope to be able to welcome you back to the hotel on a future stay.

Stayed here for business.

Staff are exceptional and really friendly, nothing seems to be a problem for them.

Rooms are clean and tidy and housekeeping are very effiecient.

underground carpark has many spaces, be careful were you park as other inconsiderate drivers may partially block you and it can take several moves to get out, park on the ends would be my advice to avoid this as space are tight.

Rooms are lovely, modern and clean and has everything you need. Only 10mins to the airport and the parking prices for the car are very reasonable. About 10mins walk to Crawley Highstreet which had has great restaurants and shops to keep you entertained between flights. Will certainly stay here again on my travels. Great value for money!

We stayed here for one night before doing a long haul flight. We used the park and stay which was efficient and we felt our car was safe.
The reception staff were lovely and helpful and gave us any information we would require. the room was clean tidy and had everything in it we would need. It was quiet and we got a good quality sleep.
The transfer bus driver was great and very helpful.
Yes i would stay again without hesitation. If there is one draw back it has to be the price of the food, I found out the prices beforehand thankfully and knew in advance there was no way we would have been able to afford dinner and breakfast, the breakfast being almost £18 each ...we just went without which was a shame. I brought some food from home and we ate in our room.

Room Tip: If cost is important this hotel offers excellent package for those using Gatwick and needs a car par...

I was there for a 5 day conference and thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the hotel. My room was nice and quiet. I walked from the train station to the hotel. Food was good although being a vegetarian, choices are not as varied as for others. I would certainly look forward to going there again. I wish I would have time to have seen all the hotel facilities, but on a conferenceI get no spare time.
