Whilst staying at Gatwick airport we had eaten here a year ago when it was Da Peppino. It has since changed hands and is now called Taormina. We arrived at 8 pm on a Saturday having pre-booked. The restaurant was extremely busy and had only four serving staff who appeared rushed off their feet. It took quite a while to order although luckily we weren't in any hurry. Our starters, Bufala e Asparagi and Melanzane Parmigiana, were delicious. These were followed by Pollo Funghi and Fegato alla Veneziana both very good although the liver was a tad over cooked. After a long gap we managed to be tempted by the dessert trolley. The lemon cheesecake and the cannoli siciliana were excellent. The staff were very friendly but service would have been better with at least one extra pair of hands.
