Friendly pub, found it a lot like a whether spoons, food was tasty and the staff were friendly :) would definitely visit again if i was near Crawley. The area is lovely and peaceful. If you have children be careful if outside the front as the cars speed past a lot even though its supposed to be slow speed.

Found by chance whilst killing time before collecting passengers from airport which is conveniently close. Popped in for a drink, then decided to eat there too. The barman and waitress were excellent and the food really enjoyable and very reasonably priced. Will definitely return. Tablecloths on all tables (paper) but it was so nice not to have to try and avoid those awful sticky bits on tables you often get in pubs. Wonderful large fresh mixed salad served with meal. The decor is a bit old but adds to the ambience, and yes it does require some decorating but the pub was very clean and so were the toilets.

Visited The Greyhound for a pub meal on the evening of 29th May as we were staying in a B & B down the road prior to a holiday. It was virtually deserted and in a pretty bad state of decoration and cleanliness. Our starter arrived in about 20 minutes and then over an hour later when the main course hadn't arrived,I was told,'sorry, they forgot'.Not a great night.I understand the place is under new management, but that's not really an excuse.Hope they get their act together soon as it's in a great location to serve to many B & B's in the area.

Use to be a reasonable place to stop off, however food and service was terrible. First negative review I have taken the trouble to write however it was such bad quality and service I can only hope the new owners read this and take this on board.

I ordered a burger which wasn't cooked through and a colleague ordered a chicken burger which turned up over twenty minutes after everyone had finished! They were hardly rushed off their feet as there was only 10 or so people there.

Avoid, there are so many better local pubs with nice food and atmosphere.

Based on other reviews, we chose The Greyhound as the place to have our pre-holiday dinner before our flight to Egypt on 17th March and we were very impressed. Very good food - I'd guess the burgers were home-made rather than bog-standard both by the way they tasted and the fact that they sort of disintegrated rather than stayed in one lump. The beer-battered onion rings were top notch and they had Adnams on tap. Not oly that, but I managed to keep up with the Wales-England 6-Nations game which was on in the main bar. 30-3. What a result!

Based on the quality of the food, which we thought was great value (two adult and one child's meals and drinks for under £30) I really can't understand why this place isn't busier. So if you're the area and you're looking for an alternative to over-priced plastic hotel food, you really should do yourself a favour and check out The Greyhound. We'll certainly be back next time we're down there.
