Classic british pub with classic british people inside.
Food is good (I took a very good goat) and they have hood ales.
A good opportunity for eating pub food close to Gatwich.

Brought the family over staying at a B&B nearby. Ordered a the typical(?) english pub dinner. Fish & chips, burgers and beer/cider (on tap) and drinks.
Very polite staff, prices very low, quality much better than you get in many other pubs, in my experience. Nice, green outdoor area for kids/families. The smiling staff looked out for our well-being all of the time. Taking your children here is no problem, they have baby chairs and seems very openminded to kids in general.
Will recommend this place to anyone travelling in this area. (Ohh, I was informed that they are new owners, and that some of the bad expereinces here on tripadvisor was from before the takeover).

Friendly pub, found it a lot like a whether spoons, food was tasty and the staff were friendly :) would definitely visit again if i was near Crawley. The area is lovely and peaceful. If you have children be careful if outside the front as the cars speed past a lot even though its supposed to be slow speed.

Found by chance whilst killing time before collecting passengers from airport which is conveniently close. Popped in for a drink, then decided to eat there too. The barman and waitress were excellent and the food really enjoyable and very reasonably priced. Will definitely return. Tablecloths on all tables (paper) but it was so nice not to have to try and avoid those awful sticky bits on tables you often get in pubs. Wonderful large fresh mixed salad served with meal. The decor is a bit old but adds to the ambience, and yes it does require some decorating but the pub was very clean and so were the toilets.

Visited The Greyhound for a pub meal on the evening of 29th May as we were staying in a B & B down the road prior to a holiday. It was virtually deserted and in a pretty bad state of decoration and cleanliness. Our starter arrived in about 20 minutes and then over an hour later when the main course hadn't arrived,I was told,'sorry, they forgot'.Not a great night.I understand the place is under new management, but that's not really an excuse.Hope they get their act together soon as it's in a great location to serve to many B & B's in the area.
