“A perfect stay!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2014 via mobile

We spent two nights at the end of our english tour, this country house is located in the green, clean and really good room with a view on the internal garden... In case we will have to spend nights near Gatwick, we know where to go!

Booked a room at the Waterhall before my early morning flight out of Gatwick, based on what I saw on the Hotel Inspector. I wasnt disappointed.

On arrival, we were quickly checked in, taxi booked there and back to the airport, and dinner reservations made.

Shown to room 9 which was at the back of the house, overlooking the lovely grounds. It was a twin room, with plenty of room. Bathroom was modern and clean. The beds were extremely comfy!!

Dinner was served in the conservatory and was good, home cooked food.

We didnt eat breakfast the following morning as we had to leave at 5am.

On return to Gatwick, we rang the taxi company, who arrived literally 5 mins later and took us back to the Waterhall to collect the car. Again, we received a warm welcome. Picked up the keys and drove home!

Would DEFINITELY book this hotel again if I had another early flight out of Gatwick. The value for money is great (as it also includes parking) and its only 10 mins from the airport. MUCH better than staying in other hotel chains that tend to look the same after a while.

Its the homely, personal touch that makes all the difference.

Myself and my wife stayed one night here before our trip to italy from Gatwick. We also managed to book a further night on our return as I was so tired I did not fancy our long drive home, so thanks to the staff for accomodating us!.

This is a great little venue. We had no complaints at all. A nice warm room, comfy bed, TV, coffee/tea etc, and a nice evening meal on both our stays freshly cooked and great portions, and a great breakfast.
We had no problems with noise, but what do people expect of hotels near airports, there are going to be planes flying around !!.

I like the location, nice and secluded but close to the airport so you can chill out. All the staff make this a gem of a hotel; and it represents first class value, as we also parked our car there for a week which was just ideal. Keep up the good work, and we shall certainly return when flying from Gatwick.

We visited the hotel for one night stay and parking whilst we were away on vacation in late March.
The hotel is in the country but very close to Gatwick Airport, we were welcomed when we arrived by the owner and shown to a pleasant room, clean & nicely furnished. We had the evening meal which was simple home rmade cooking well presented and a good full English for Breakfast. On our return to pick up the car we enjoyed another pleasant breakfast overlooking the natural garden with wildlife in abundance. Would certainly return and would recommend a stay. They also arranged the taxi service to and from the airport which was excellently organised at a modest cost payable to the taxi driver.

We booked in here for one night before our flight at end of March. We knew exactly that we wanted to return to this hotel as we had stayed here a couple of years ago and were made so welcome and had such great service at that time. We were not disappointed on this occasion and would definitely recommend the hotel to friends and family. The value for money is still excellent considering the price includes car parking and you know that your car is in good hands. Very comfortable, everywhere is spotless and the staff are so helpful and accommodating. On our return we enjoyed a very welcoming light meal before our long drive home.

We stayed at the Waterhall Country Hotel before our flight from Gatwick the following day. This Hotel is truly good value for money. The rooms are clean and in good decorative order. The family and staff were welcoming. The home cooked food was excellent. We had dinner in the evening with a good choice of menu and a full cooked english breakfast. All the food is locally produced/sourced. Overall great value for money, especially since our stay included car parking for the duration of our holiday (15 nights)
Although the planes pass almost overhead, you can't hear them in the rooms.
The grounds are restful with local deer and squirrels popping into the garden.
Our taxi to airport was booked by reception and was on time (10 minutes to/from the airport).
Our only complaint was the cup of coffee we had on our early morning was lukewarm and at £2.50 a cup rather expensive!

Room Tip: Our room over looked the garden (room 7) and was quite - despite the planes passing overhead!

We stayed here for two nights either side of a holiday. The staff could not have been more welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The home cooked food was excellent and our room was comfortable and warm. We arrived back late and a phone call to the hotel ensured we could have a meal on arrival. We left our car there for the duration and the hotel arranged taxis to and from the airport. We would certainly stay there again and recommend it to our friends.

Room Tip: The rooms changed by the Hotel Inspectors visit would be good, but the others are comfortable and ha...
