“Comfortable bed”
Reviewed 13 November 2011

We stayed at this hotel for just one night, whilst we were visiting the area. Very friendly staff greeted us, and although we were early, made sure our room was ready and available at that time. The room was very clean, and the bathroom spotless. The bed was comfortable, although the pillows were a bit on the soft side for us. As has been mentioned, the walls are a bit on the thin side, and I could hear voices quite clearly from the room next door, and the person walking about above us as well. The Brewer's Fayre was convenient, with a connecting door, and the food was very good. Parking free, although possibly if you arrived late there may be a problem finding a space.
Overall, for a one night stay, no problems, for any longer, I think the noise from other people may be a bit annoying.

Nice hotel, Brewer's Fayre attached which is a great bonus. The Brewer's Fayre pub and restaurant really made this stay for me - excellent staff, food great and a warm, friendly atmosphere.

The hotel was OK. I think it needs renovating. The floors creak. The hallways smell. The rooms are nice enough, but very small.

The main problem I had are the walls in the rooms don't really provide any privacy against noise. I could hear every word the man in the neighbouring room was saying to his wife on him mobile phone - and he wasn't shouting, just regular conversation. I could also hear every whimper from the couple in the other neighbouring room late at night and again early next morning!

I did get a refund after I complained. But be warned if you stay here.

We needed a room near Gatwick for the night before we checked in at 05:00 for our flight. Excellent value at £29, free parking, Brewer's Fayre cheap and cheerful restaurant next door. The hotel receptionist was cheerful and chatty about the film we were going to see in Crawley. Room was clean and comfortable. What more can you ask for!

We stayed for 2 nights in room 115. The room is at the end of the corridor so it was nice and quiet. The only thing we heard were the people walking in the room above in the morning. This did not disturb us but might have if they had been up earlier. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I asked if there was an iron I could borrow as my top had got creased during the journey. Someone brought an iron and a board to my room in to time at all.

The food was very good and we had a lovely and comfortable stay

Room Tip: If you want a lie-in in the morning, maybe ask for an upstairs room

Clean comfortable hotel on the outskirts of Crawley town. Convenient for Gatwick but situated a short taxi ride from the airport. Rooms tastefully decorated and well appointed. Courteous and helpful staff in reception, restaurant and bar. Good standard of budget food in the Brewers Fayre restaurant attched to the hotel. Function room available for parties and special occasions. Our room in the hotel annexe was quiet and beds were comfortable.

Room Tip: There are only 3 rooms suitable for guests with disabilities so book well in advance if this applies...

Stayed three days in room 110 we too had the same experience as your other guest we may as well have been at the wedding that was situated right outside our window along with the screaming kids and drunken guests. A corridor that links the bar and restaurant area to the garden which is basically now the ' smokers room ' and it is incredibly well used !! You cannot open the window so now you get too hot as well ! We shared next doors excited conversations from 6am til 9am on the saturday morning and concluded that it must be the bride and groom - to be frank they may as well have been sat on the end of our bed ! When we went to reception to ask for an alternative a) there was nobody there just a notice saying that nobody was there ! b) because of the wedding there were no other rooms available! On the sunday the sun shone bringing locals to the bar with copious amounts of children who are let run riot along the corridor to the gardens whilst the parents enjoy their freedom in the bar. It kind of felt like we were in the middle of a bouncy castle only it wasn't us that was having the fun. Oh yeah then there was the fireworks AND the football songs that continued afterward. A warning would have been nice !! IF you stay here DO NOT TAKE THESE ROOMS. A real pity the staff throughout the hotel are delightful and ultra friendly such a pleasant change these days !! Good Luck !! xx

Room Tip: Do not take 108, 110 or 112
