Saw a great show "One Man, Two Guvnors ", good cast and very funny it's touring the country so look out for it brilliant . Along with great show we really enjoyed a great evening although the Hawth is not situated in the town centre it offers free parking yes FREE parking and a quite impressive little restaurant that offers about eight dishes all under a tenner freshly cooked good portion sizing, friendly knowledgeable staff, and a great atmosphere all round.
We will return for both experiences

Went to see 1 Man 2 Guvnors yesterday evening - very entertaining. Having lived in this neck of the woods for the past 45 years or so, know The Hawth well, in fact, known it since it was built. I was on the Project Team in 1973 when it did not get built because all the local arts groups could not agree and squabbled amongst themselves, so in the end we got less than what we might have had due to the delay.- it was in those days when local councils could afford to do these things. Now they cannot to the extent that Crawley BC has 'outsourced' the Hawth to a commercial enterprise. Doesn't it show! When I went to enquire about a headset for last evening (I am deaf), they thought they had some but they didn't know where they might be. Some investment by way of staff training (and not more staff cuts) seems to be needed.

Saw Richard Thompson supported by The Rails. We had great seats in the stalls on row B but looking back I don't think you'll find a bad seat in the house. The seats had a sort of tilting and sliding action making it easy to get in and out but i still had a sore bum after three hours. Thought the place looked a little frayed at the edges and could maybe do with a decorating. We didn't use the cafe or bar.
