Stayed here with family the night before a morning long-haul flight, and we found the location to be perfect. It is literally across the street from the north terminal entrance, a 30 sec walk. The hotel was busy at check-in, which we suspect is the norm, as most people seem to be staying the night before or after flights, leading to high turnover. That said, we found no line to use the automated check-in kiosk, and the staff member was attentive, leading to a smooth process.
The family room we booked was immaculate and everything seemed new. Lots of nice touches like tea/coffee station and extra pillows were appreciated. The spare child bed was comfortable and a good size. We had no complaints about the room whatsoever.
We also ate at the on-site restaurant, a very positive experience. The food was quite good, and even a bit imaginative. We did not book a meal but were seated immediately. We did eat rather early (about 5:30) and understand the restaurant can be busy at times. We were willing to take a chance on not reserving due to the close proximity to the airport north terminal, which has several restaurants prior to security.
The one negative was a poor Wi-Fi signal, for which we paid £3. We were able to make it work but the signal kept dropping.
Overall, this hotel is a superb airport option and we will definitely stay again.More
