New and clean, but there are no safes and no other storage facilities for valuables and suitcases. Also lots of large and menacing dogs roaming in the hotel with their owners. Pick up service in the under cover parking which is quite far so expect to lag your cases quite a distance. Many other better alternatives in town.

Stayed here for 3 nights in May and found staff helpful, the rooms clean and although full on 2 nights there wasnt much noise from anyone which can be an issue at other central hotels/travelodges. Nice new kingsize beds, clean linen and towels - remember to ask for more hand/bath sheets if there are not enough for all people staying in the room as family rooms will sleep 4. Teas, coffees and milks provided, again you can ask for more if you run short. Breakfast is extra but is eat as much as you can - was slightly chaotic on one day of our stay as a large party decided to eat breakfast but hadnt booked in advance (slightly cheaper to book b'fast on internet when booking room)

Bathroom was small so if a larger size there would be difficulty navigating through door as toilet literally touched the door

Wi-fi is only free for 30minutes per day - DONT pay the extra - McDonalds is on the next roundabout about 2mins walk and its free there! Really Travelodge I travel alot in UK and Europe and even the poorer Eastern European countries offer free wi-fi

Nice stay will use again when visiting relatives - places of interest include Tilgate Park, short drive away, also there is a nice green park near the shopping area. there is also Standen House and gardens which is a National Trust property - delightful day when sunny - browse the house, picnic in the garden £10 admission and well worth it especially when weather good

Tip for Travelodge - rooms facing away from town are north facing so no sun but this is useful in hot weather as rooms dont overheat

Be careful where you park - after 9pm in multi storey £3 I believe til next morning (dont park before then as will have to pay extra) there is parking also in the square about 100metres away

Room Tip: Decide if you want the sunshine - book a room facing town area, no a/c

The Hotel is in a ideal spot with a few mins walk to the town centre and has a car park and its own restaurant and 15 mins from Gatwick Airport and was nice and peaceful with comfortable beds, the room was nice and clean with good heating.

Nice and new, lovely room, nice staff, right in the middle of Crawley town centre, a short walk from the station, price was good for a Friday night stay, 10 minutes from Gatwick airport, no complaints from me.

Very reasonably priced quick weekend stay to visit family nearby. Quite impersonal but clean and fresh hotel.
Plenty of eateries in the area with wide choice of food types.
Only downside was trying to find it! We didn't think it was very well signposted from the side of town we came in from, until it said hotel car park we didn't even realise we were there. Try and park elsewhere till after 9 in the evening then it is only £3 overnight. Thought the car park charges were quite steep.

Without doubt the nicest travelodge we have stayed in, a very friendly welcome from the staff, decent bed in a new style room and a 5 minute to walk to numerous bars, pubs, restaurants. A 10 minute drive to Gatwick airport parking companies. Adjoining hotel car parking isn't cheap, it's a flat rate overnight (about £5.50) but can be quite a bit more on top of that depending what time you arrive in the afternoon... The car park does seem safe and secure though. Would stay again if you wanted a cheap decent 'no frills' hotel prior/post flying from Gatwick

Just returned from the Travelodge at Crawley after attending a football match there.

To start with the hotel is new and in a good location. Its about a half mile to the train station, but there is a very good bus service that picks you up about 100yds aways and an all day ticket costs £4.50, which is good value.

There are a couple of nice pubs in the area, including a nice Wetherspoons and also there is a leisure park within walking distance where you will find some nice places to eat.

All in all our stay at Crawley was very good and would stay there again if we are in the area. The one thing to remember is that parking at the hotel is expensive and if you do your home-work there are places to park, nearby, that are a lot cheaper.

Room Tip: Cheaper parking nearby
