“Good base for Gatwick..”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 June 2012

We stayed here following our return from holiday as part of the APH car park deal. Was pleased we had not paid full price as would have been very disappointed.

The room was adequate but small. The bed side lamps did not work and after investigation we found that the bulbs had been partially unscrewed - perhaps to save electricity?!

The main room light had the cover missing and was just a bare bulb. Seeing as our stay was only one night the numerous suspicious looking hairs in the bath were not worth worrying about as we didnt use it.

Great base for Gatwick though as only ten minutes away which we were grateful of landing at 1am!

Stayed at this hotel the night before flying off on holidays and combined it with a parking package with APH.We have done this many times in the past and found this place up with the best.Checkin was straight forward and efficient, the staff on the desk were pleasant and helpful. The room although compact was modern clean and comfortable with all the facilities you need and couldn't be faulted for an overnight stay.Although we didn't make a great deal of use of the public areas again they are very nicely decorated and laid out and even the small swimming pool looked quite inviting. The only downside we found, and it's probably typical of many hotels in this category,is that the price of refreshments were very expensive and this doesn't really encourage you to use the facilites, but there are a couple of reasonably priced establishments fairly close by.We will definitely use this hotel again for this type of stay.

we booked the hotel for the night before our flight to Vegas, the room was excellent and quiet, car parked right outside the hotel reception and it stayed there throughout our trip. We didnt eat in the hotel as there is a Toby restuarant within a 5 min walk and the pub attached was very welcoming, so we sprnt most of the evening there, checkout was efficient and although there is a shuttle bus, we opted for a taxi as it was only £3 extra, hotel booked taxi and it was on time for our departure, only 10-15 mins drive to the airport so when we got back we got another taxi so we could start our drive back to the midlands rather than wait for the shuttle, will stay there agai when we next fly from Gatwick

We have stayed at this hotel a few times for 1 night as part of a hotel & parking package, booked via APH. The small extra price we pay ontop of the parking is well worth it, as our drive to Gatwick can take 1.5 to 6 hours depending on the M25. So arriving the night befor really takes the stress out of it for us, with the drive to APH only 10 - 15 mins, and coach transfer to airport another 15 - 20 mins.

The facilities and mainly the pool is reason we choose this hotel over the
many offered by APH. Though at our most recent stay the jacuzzi was covered over and the we were told most likely not to return. This is a real shame as we enjoyed using the jacuzzi on our previous visit to relax prior to our holiday.

There are 2 bars in the hotel the main one be a lounge type and other a sports bar. We have had a meal in the lounge on a couple of occasions and the food was good all be it slightly pricey but this was expected.

The standard room is small although adequate for a single or couple of nights stay. The room facilities are normal this type of hotel, hair dryer, tv, tea & coffee making etc.

A little tip if staying at this hotel, for cheaper alternative then eating in
there is a Toby pub 5 mins walk down the road, and as all Toby's they do a nice carvary as well as buffet breakfast.

All in all we would use this hotel again for a pre-flight stay, but would 't stay here paying full normal room rate.

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions. We find the hotel to be very handy for shopping in Crawley (about £5 in a taxi) and for the Airport (about £12 in a taxi). The staff are ever friendly and courteous, and the food in the restaurant is very good. The rooms are a decent size and always clean. All in all we wouldnt hesitate to reommend this hotel.

We booked the Crowne Plaza for a park, fly and stay package. The hotel is really nice & the bed very cofortable, the sleep kit is a nice touch. We ordered food from the bar and although the food was good the prices were a bit steep for both food and drinks.

The parking all ran smoothly, the shuttle bus was on time and not too busy.

We will be booking again for October but will probably go out for dinner.
