Been a while since I visited La Tasca, so it was about due.
Service is still good (Thanks Terry) and they still serve up some great tasting dishes.
Slight changes to the menu (as they do every so often) and these in the whole were good but if you liked the sauced ribs in the past, be ready for a real disappointment.
The new boneless ribs are more fat than meat and a pale shade taste wise to the old dish, would advise people to miss that one from their order.
Enjoyed the food and the service and will definitely visit again when in MK.

Organised a staff reunion Christmas dinner for a total of 10 people and thought why not try something different - hence La Tasca - This was booked for 7th December - I have to say the meal was lovely - as I hoped there was something on the menu that everybody liked, and there was plenty of it - and overall the food was delicious, which is good considering how busy the restaurant was. The drinks are perhaps a little expensive. The staff were excellent and the level of service was just right - we didn't feel rushed and could take our time. The only thing I would say, and this goes for a lot of places these days - I am happy to always leave a generous tip to the staff based on my experience of the occasion - as I previously worked in this type of environment and appreciate how hard the staff work - but I do object to having the service charge added to my bill automatically without any warning ..... I think it should be down to the customers to show their own appreciation based on their experience at the time - who wants to leave a 10% tip if the food and service are awful - although on this occasion it was very good.

Lovely welcome on arrival.
Left for a good length of time to look at the menu.
Everything is marked as gluten free on the menu so took the guess work out of your choice.
Starters lush! Gluten free flatbreads and olives, yummy!
The paella takes a time to come, but it does tell you to allow at least 20 mins.
Omg was worth the wait!
Seafood one and a chicken chorizo one, done to perfection!!
Staff were lovely, very attentive!
First time there, won't be the last!

After a hectic days shopping a late afternoon lunch was definitely what was needed, and, as always La Tasca at Xscape provided the answer. Nicely quiet at this time of day ensured great service ( which is normally never slow even on busy days) and the first glass of the delicious white Rioja went down a treat, as did the almonds, olives and bread and oils ( a gluton free bread option is available). The menu is also well annotated with Gluton Free and Vegetarian options, but it would also be good if in the future, dairy free options were also included. Again as always a good, varied and sensibly priced Tapas options are available and from a personal perspective, the Chorizo from Leon is as good as can be had in the small back street Tapas Bars in many Spanish towns. We can't recommend this "bolt hole" enough.
