Stayed here for the weekend with my family of 3 and hence 2 rooms. Hotel was opened 1.5 years ago and therefore Everything is new and clean. Bed is comfortable. Room is relatively small though still ok. Breakfast is average. Front desk is extremely helpful and thanks to Tracy who helped print out a letter for me. If you don't have a car, forget about staying here because it is a bit far and there is no bus. The MK mall is 10 min drive from the hotel.

Restaurant is a bit pricy. Again if you come by car, there are plenty of choices in the mall. BTW, there is no lift and the hotel has 2 floors. If you have a lot of luggages, ask for a room on the ground floor.

An easily accessible hotel about 2 minutes drive off the A5 and a five minute drive from Milton Keynes shopping centre. There is free parking at the hotel. The décor in all areas is very modern and bright the bedrooms are a good size and well equipped. Free tea and coffee is supplied. The shower room is lovely and warm with underfloor heating. The bed was very large and comfortable but it was unusually high. There is free Wi Fi in all areas. The hotel has a large bar and restaurant with an outside patio area. We didn’t eat at the hotel as the prices were on the high side, £13.95 for breakfast. The staff are very polite and informative and with the cost being under £40 for a Saturday night stop-over this hotel was excellent value and I would use it again.

Room Tip: Don't have a room on the ground floor

Booking was made on my behalf by Mercedes Benz UK, so even though the Mercure wasn't my personal choice but looked forward to my stay.

Found the facilities to be excellent, my room was perfectly adequate with an fantastically comfy bed.

Restaurant had an innovative grill which delivered your choice of steak to your table on a slab of hot volcanic rock. The only downside of this being everything in the vicinity gets a splattering of hot fat.

That aside, dinner was great and the waiting staff a credit to the hotel.

The free Wifi appeared to be an issue, after overcoming a few technical hitches down to iOS software compatibility it seemed we could only get a signal in the public areas. I thought perhaps this was a fault with my devices but became evident the next morning that other guests had the same issue.

Breakfast had a great selection of cooked and cold options, again the staff were attentive and friendly.

I would happily consider Mercure the next time I am in Milton Keynes and have provided good feedback to my colleagues.

I am thrilled that you had a fantastically comfy bed. We pride ourselves on having the most comfortable beds in Milton Keynes.

I am so glad you enjoyed our hot rock, it is such a different idea and very well received with guests at the hotel. I will pass your comments onto the team in the restaurant.

We are currently investigating the WiFi service and re-evaluating the way in which guests log on.

Myself and the team hope to see you again in the near future.

Many thanks again for your positive review.

We had our wedding reception at the Mercure Milton Keynes Abbey Hill on Saturday and can not praise the venue highly enough. We had a last minute booking and Beth, the wedding coordinator was incredibly helpful and keen to get our booking perfect. On the day, the staff could not have been more attentive! The attention to detail was impeccable, our wedding breakfast meal was absolutely mouth watering and we received many, many positive comments about the evening buffet food as well. The staff were helpful, polite and friendly, and the room was just stunning. The outside garden area is beautiful and again very clean and tidy. We 100% recommend this venue for your event, wedding, a meal or overnight stay. We are already looking forward to coming back for a Sunday lunch. THANK YOU for helping us with the most perfect day of our lives.

Our booking averaged at £45 per night at the weekend, which is a great price for a UK hotel.

Large King size beds and good shower were clean and tidy.

Free WI-Fi code given at reception was good for the family.

Did not have time to use the restaurant or the near-by golf course but the looked great.

Ample parking and caring staff.
