I booked this accommodation based on the good reviews it had received but overall it was an awful experience and I am surprised how many favourable reviews have been made in recent weeks. I will not criticise the staff though- they were excellent and very helpful- it was the hotel offer and the various incidents that ruined my stay.
Yes, it is cheap, but not that cheap. My room cost me double what I would have paid in an equivalent Travelodge elsewhere that particular night. Where do I start regarding my experience? Firstly, the good points. The room had a plug point and a phone charging point that worked. But that was it. No other good points.

I booked a double room but the bed was crammed so tightly into the room recess that you had to climb in over the mattress to get onto it, Neither aisle was wide enough to access the bed from the side. There is nowhere to put your case. The underneath of the bed was blocked by boxing and so it couldn't go under the bed, so the case took up most of the only remaining standing room. There is air-conditioning and blow heating- but for 'environmental concerns' it is disabled between 9:00am and 6:00pm and we couldn't get it to work until the evening. This was a shame because the room didn't smell too fresh. Perhaps it was the drains and the blockage in the bathroom. There are two coat hanger slots fixed to the wall so don't bring more than one coat, or jacket, or expect your shirt or suit to be able to be hung up. There are no other spaces or hooks to hang anything. We were offered one small towel- for two people and only one pillow each. The small bin was in the bathroom but there was not enough space to use the lavatory and for the bin to be in there at the same time so you had to move it into the entrance area. The toilet seat didn't stay up, so very difficult for gentlemen to use the loo. There was no lid and no lining bag for the bin. Yuk! The shower head was broken and the frame had signs of rust. The temperature control was also broken so it was either very hot or scorching hot. The hand basin was blocked and didn't drain and we couldn't use it. I had expected a small table or desk, to use my laptop and make use of the wi-fi, but not only was there no desk or even a bedside table but there wasn't a single flat surface anywhere to put anything on. Even the window sill was flush against the wall. The unopenable window was misted up and un-accessible so even though we were one of the lucky rooms with a window, you couldn't see anything out of it. No chair. No kettle. No free coffee or tea. No water. No cups, if you had the foresight to bring your own drink. Oh, and no cafe or restaurant either on-site, or nearby. Just an over-priced vending machine. One of the lifts was working but the other was stuck on the third floor. The lift was more spacious than the bathroom though.

Despite the friendly staff being on duty, they couldn't do much about the various drug dealers selling their wares at the door. I witnessed three transactions over the evening and my partner witnessed a verbal fight between a dealer and his customer with lots of colourful language thrown in. The dealer I saw was obviously a regular caller to the hotel. He had his getaway bike which nearly knocked me over with as I was approaching the entrance.

If you want to book in a couple of hours early or leave later than 10:00am, there is a £20 charge. And £15 for a room clean! To leave luggage is £5.

I don't mind EasyJet as an airline. It's efficient and reasonably priced. Easy Hotels however are a different matter. I would gladly have paid an extra £20 for a Premier Inn or a Travelodge, where the room cleaning is free, as is the luggage storage, where you can check out at noon and have a bed you can access from both sides- and a kettle.

The blatant drug dealing around the site is something that needs to be dealt with and some CCTV might be a good idea.

Room tip: Try somewhere else

We offer clean rooms with basic and minimalistic designs. While we understand your preference for certain amenities like a kettle, please note that we provide hot water on request at no extra charge. Cups are also available freely from the reception, and all other basic amenities are provided upon request.

Room Size and Setup: We offer bigger rooms in an accessible setup and in a family room setup which are available to be chosen at the time of booking. All other standard room setups include storage space for luggage, with half of the bed opened to accommodate this need.

Air Conditioning: Our air conditioning system is not blocked; however, it is programmed to pause every hour during the daytime to conserve energy. Guests are informed of this feature, and they have the option to turn it back on immediately if needed.

Bathroom Facilities: We provide one large towel and a bath mat in every room, with additional towels available upon request free of charge. Our investigation found that the toilet seat and shower head were in good working condition.

Safety and Security: For safety reasons, our windows do not open, and this is communicated to guests. Additionally, we have CCTV cameras installed throughout the building to ensure the safety of our guests and staff. Any incidents involving security concerns are promptly reported to the authorities.

Additional Charges: We understand your concerns regarding additional charges for early check-in, late checkouts, and luggage storage. These charges are necessary to cover the costs associated with providing these services in a minimalistic setup.

We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your stay and assure you that we continuously strive to enhance our services based on guest feedback. Thank you once again for choosing to stay with us. We value your patronage and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future.

Warm regards,

Super friendly check-in from Ynx, always appreciated when travelling alone so much :-)
Basic rooms for a good price! Often stay here as I know what I'm getting :-)
Good central location too.
Only improvement would be for a kettle in the room!
