A truly wonderful meal, with brilliant service and such friendly staff.
They pulled out all the stops to make the couples special day outstanding.
The garden is large and inviting, and was perfect for the guests to relax after
the meal.
Thank you for all your hard work on 23-07-14 for Katie and Mathew.
Well done to all the staff, and a very big thank you from the grooms mum & dad.
We hope to visit you again, when in Milton Keynes.

The menu is small and reflects the size of the kitchen - the "new" Cross Keys has been operating under its present management for almost 2 years - prices are on the high side and the portions are cautious. The shoulder of lamb would have benefitted from twice the amount of accompanying mashed potato and green beans. The portion of fish was pretty small. The deconstructed cheese cake is a bit of a joke - a very small amount of base crumb, with something close to ice cream and very few small pieces of fresh strawberry. On a sunny Tuesday evening, we were the only diners in the Restaurant with a few more enjoying the large landscaped garden. High standards have been set here - there is always a good choice of draught beers and the premises are smart with enthusiastic staff. Just not sure that the menu/price combination is quite right just yet.

Popped in for quick lunch. Decided to have fish & chips but had to ask the waitress what the fish was (haddock) as I don't particularly like menu's which do not specify what fish is on offer. The fish was very nice & the mushy peas were the best I have ever tasted but I didn't like the chips very much. They weren't undercooked or anything but were quite soft & more like potato wedges. I like chips to be crispy. The decor is nice & the staff are very pleasant & the pub garden is lovely. I would certainly visit this restaurant again but would not order anything with chips.

The food is fresh, cooked to order and delicious. The service is unobtrusive yet efficient. At the end of a hard week this was just the place to come to unwind. We will definitely return.
