The hotel is a bit out of the way if you are not driving, taxis are a must. That apart the accommodation is fine; room clean, spacious and comfortable although the decor is in need of a little TLC throughout. I found the food excellent and love the idea of being able to order in the lounge or bar at any time instead of having to stick to specific times. The staff, although seeming mostly professional and efficient were not as attentive as perhaps they should have been at times, by which I mean talking amongst themselves while customers were waiting.
This was annoying at worse and by no means constant, I would certainly stay here again.

The welcome was warm and efficient, the entrance looks pleasant although the metal fence and electric gates do give it a slight Colditz feel. The room was a little tired in terms of decor and there were stains on the carpet although it was clean. Breakfast the next morning was good and the waiting staff helpful and again welcoming. There were a lot of small children staying (Friday night) and they were running about quite a bit but this was through no fault of the hotel. A sensibly priced, good overnighter.

I was booked into this hotel by a company I was working at for a few days. First impressions were good, the entrance looked clean and tidy with the bar are and restaurant seemed OK.
Checked in and the staff on the front desk were efficient and friendly.

The room was OK, clean, but the cleaner had left the window open so by the time I arrived the room was freezing cold. No problem I thought as there was heating in the room. Put the heating on and to be honest it didn't make much difference. The bath was a strange shape and when I had a shower I kept getting caught in the shower curtain and hitting my arm on a towel rail over the bath. The bed and pillows were a bit hard for my liking so I didn't really sleep very well. Then around 1am the room suddenly got very hot and stuffy, even though I had not got the heating on. My colleague complained that her room was too hot all the time. Also there are not enough plugs in the room in relation to how many chargers and electrical products people tend to carry about nowadays

The one thing I didn't like was the smell on the stairs. It smelt as if they had a faulty glade plug in - too sickly sweet!

For me the main problem of the hotel was the fact that it was in the middle of nowhere. Previously when I had stayed in Milton Keynes I had been put in Jurys Inn or the Ramada, which I preferred because there are shops within walking distance. It is not an issue if you are in a car, but if not you will either be using taxis or staying in the hotel for meal/drinks.

The hotel is fine for a night but anymore than that then I would find somewhere a bit more comfortable.

We stayed here on a Saturday and checked in late afternoon as we checked in my children were over the moon to be given a present each my little girl got a teddy and my boy a dinosaur jigsaw. The staff were extremly helpfull and very welcoming and polite.
It was a pleasure to go into the family room to find all the beds made up for us and a room with a seperate toilet and bathroom, the room was immaculate.
We popped down to the bar for a drink in the evening and the kids had a little corner with books and a xbox area.We didnt eat in the hotel as had eaten in the day but the menu looked lovely with great choice for kids.
Nice pool steam room and sauna
The hotel was 5 minutes in the car to central MK but you could easily walk it in 10 mins.
This hotel was a bargain price but not a bargain hotel,a brilliant hotel, fab staff and facilities
Thanks Novotel

Room Tip: Family rooms great really big and two single kids beds so even good for teenagers
