“A mere stagger away.”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

Stayed here a few times when on nights out in MK. Staff always very friendly and although the rooms are a little dated they are always clean and serve a purpose.

Ideally located just across the road from one of MK's best clubs - Pink Punters. So when your a little bit worse for wear and all danced out its a short stagger back to a comfy bed.

I posted a review on this hotel back late last year primarily in reaction to an incident here. Having spoken with the management team here and at Northampton, the problem was resolved satisfactorily. Unfortunately I could not update a further review until an amount of time had elapsed (a tripadvisor rule)
Anyway I have stayed at this hotel on many occasions since and have been treated very well. The management and staff have certainly improved. Yes this is a budget hotel and as a budget hotel is very good and I will be staying here again in the future

We recently stayed at this hotel as a budget option, but you definitely get what you pay for. The room is basic and clean enough but the bed is terrible. The springs were digging into my back and I could not get comfortable, so we flipped the mattress but the state of the mattress was enough to turn my stomach. I have no idea what the stains were but it was enough to have me dreaming of bed bugs and I felt really itchy after that. It is a budget option but they need to buy new mattresses.

We will not be back, as I woke up with a really bad back after only 4 hours sleep!

Have used this Hotel in the past as a cheap overnight stop but it has steeply declined to a shabby doss house primarily used by the massive gay nightclub directly opposite, while there is no noise evident from the club itself the patrons seemed to be running and shouting in the corridors all through the night into the time we thankfully left at 7.30am, doors banging, people screaming and laughing with absolutely no regard for anyone else. The room itself was grubby, with soiled and stained carpet and furnishings, uncomfortable mattress with springs prominent, and a persistent smell of cigarettes heavily masked by airspray, indeed, we saw several smokers with heads stuck out of the windows when we approached the place. All in all unless you are of the 'club 18-30' mentality avoid this place until the management get a grip.

Hotel average inside if your room faces road noise main road, has club opposite on till 5am people coming going not very sound proof.rooms was okay clean basic. Bed mattress was very uncomfortable and uneven. Would advise in summer due to no air conditioning , have a rear facing room, so you can open the window at night without the noise.

Room Tip: Rooms at back quieter

Our room was clean and comfortable. Staff were pleasant. Very noisy (doors banging; loud voices) in the small hours of the morning so sleep quality is very poor. This is due to the Gay Bar over the road whose clientelle (American Police Conventions and blond transvestites with 5 o'clock shadows) obviously frequent the place. These provided entertainment value at breakfast which was OK. Findiing a decent evening meal in the area is nigh impossible, but this was not the hotel's fault. Our stay was interesting to say the least but we will not be returning.
