“Good Food”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

Went there on Sunday with my friends who were visiting the restaurant for the first time. We were given a good table and the orders were taken promptly. The vegetarians had the chole baturas which were very nice and full of flavour followed by the uttapam. We also had king fish chettinad with egg fried rice followed by the mixed grill. The chettinad fish was not very chilli hot and was just right with the tamarind flavours blending with the fish. My guests enjoyed their food and the owner is going to start "family dosas" which are not yet on the menu but they can make it for you if you request it. Will be back for a repeat meal and the place is good value for money. I do not agree with some previous comments about the very bad service and food and many restaurants do have a bad day now and then.

“Great food and relaxed service”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

Went to the restaurant with few work colleagues after work. Warm welcome at the restaurant. Good ambience, clean and modern deco.
The service was relaxed with number of unusual dishes. The starters of onion bhaji and chilli king prawns were mouthwatering. The dosa dish was sumptuous followed by the street food - kothu roti. We were all raving about the food the following day. Will recommend to anyone. Have already booked my next visit.

“Great food and service”
Reviewed 31 May 2014 via mobile

Went to Planet Dosa last week with few friends from work. Friendly greeting at entrance, relaxed service and nice ambience.
The food was second to none - finger licking Chilli king prawns, sumptuous dosas and kothu parotta.
Will definitely be back!

“DO NOT GO!! Such a disappointment - Indian hospitality at its worst”
Reviewed 27 May 2014

We arranged for a family meal together and it was terrible on every level:
> We were 6 adults and 1 child and they squeezed us on a table of 6 when they could have easily added another table
> They forgot my drink and I had to keep asking for it - only wanted water!
> The mogo was so overfried that it was too crispy
> We didn't have enough cutlery, kept asking for it and had to keep taking it from other tables
> Service was slow
> When the main course arrived, the okra was burnt black that it should never have left the kitchen
> They replaced this with another okra dish that was undercooked and that it could not be eaten
> The spinach was raw and could not be eaten
> The cauliflower was also raw that you needed a knife to cut through it
> All the food was cold and lacking in flavor
> We left most of the food
When we complained, they did little to appease us in any way and thought it was acceptable to serve such below standard food, we were so gobsmacked
When the bill came, we spoke at length with staff and the manager, who quite frankly could not care less.
It was embarrassing to see someone have absolutely no pride in their establishment.
He was quite happy to argue over the bill for a good 20 minutes and even then grudgingly discounted it.
He made no attempt to offer any kind of compensation to encourage us to come back

The only good thing was the plain naan and the dosa which was palateable.

We will not be returning again and I will definitely not be recommending Planet Dosa, which is a great shame as I am a big advocate and supporter of local, small and privately run business.

“What a find - totally unique and amazing value”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

I visited Planet Dosa last night and have been thinking about how great the meal was all day! The menu in this little understated restaurant is one of Milton Keynes' best kept secrets.
I ordered a wide range from the menu and unlike many other restuatrants where the food all comes from the same base, each dish (and I tried 8) all had their own unique tastes - and every one made you want more!

The service was great, very friendly and the choice on the menu was superb.

I would highly recommend this - I will be back again!
