“Great venue but overcrowded”
Reviewed 25 August 2014

I bought gift vouchers for my son's birthday. He took his friend for an open event and he had a really good time.
The only disappointment was that there were 28 karts racing at the same time with varying levels of capability. As a spectator I could see drivers getting very frustrated and driving very aggressively because it was so overcrowded.
Otherwise, I would recommend Daytona to my friends.

“Second time at Daytona.”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

I liked the first time so much, that I tried to go many times again even if it had to be alone and for just an Arrive&Drive session. In the end, I had to wait 3 months to get back at Daytona with my colleagues at Codemasters. The wait was very well worth it, and I think I can speak for all my colleagues, we all loved it.

The welcoming was very good, and after the usual briefing, we were on track in no time. The kart I had felt very good right away, the only problem I had maybe was due to the fact of it being new were the brakes that needed a few laps to get used to (they have recently changed their karts to more powerful 13 BHP 390cc engines and better chassis).

The new karts I think showed two things; first of all, the professional approach the guys at Daytona have for their business, and the effort they make to provide the best possible experience for their customers, and last but not least, it provided more fun than the first time I believe, because I believe the karts were less physically demanding to drive and allowed for more focus on the driving itself.

As for both races, I personally had much fun driving the kart and trying to improve my line through the corners, not an easy feat to achieve, for the nature of the track, with lots of, off-camber corners and in general a very technical circuit.

At the end we had the podium ceremony, with prizes being handed over to the first 3 placed drivers and some picture were taken, which we have all received already, and I would like to thank the staff at Daytona for this. A special thanks to the Race Director of our event, as he was very helpful and answered to my questions about the new karts.

Overall it was an amazing experience, even better than the first time, and I didn’t think it could be possible because it was great the first time already. I would recommend this venue to any karting enthusiast or even people that want to enjoy good racing, as I have raced kart and racing cars professionally for 15 years, and it is not easy to impress me, but the guys over at Daytona Milton Keynes surely have, and I cannot wait to go back there, maybe with their 2-strokes engine this time!

“There's karting and then there's Daytona”
Reviewed 13 August 2014

We went to Daytona last week and it was unlike any other go kart track any of us had ever been to. The karts, the track and the buildings were unlike your usual track. Having been to an outdoor track in Birmingham we were not expecting clean karts, let alone clean suits and everything. It cost us £30 but it was well worth it. Recommended.

“Premier venue for karting....fact”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

As the organiser for karting events for John Lewis Partnership I can confidently say that Daytona Milton Keynes is the all round premier venue for karting. They are very well run, they have the best facilities and most importantly, they have the biggest, most exciting and demanding race track with an excellent new fleet of karts. If you expect premier quality, like we do.....go to Daytona Milton Keynes.

“Sour grape reviews.”
Reviewed 2 August 2014

Just read some reviews of an event I was at at Daytona karting Mk. The suggestion that a man assaulted a teenage boy at this event is just not true. What I saw was a stroppy teenager out of his depth driving in a frankly dangerous manor ! And then having the temerity to claim his brakes had failed,my son had the very same kart in a later heat and said the brakes were perfect. There was an argument and the on duty manager spoke to both parties and it seemed that it was dealt with, but it would seem that someone is throwing mud that just doesn't stick. There will be instances when things go a bit wrong for instance the short timings of certain races but these were rectified at subsequent races. On the whole I find the staff and organisation to be excellent and would recommend Daytona to experienced and novice drivers alike.
