Have visited Willen Lake before but this was first time staying in the Premier Inn. Warm friendly welcome and nice clean family room with a balcony too. Bed was comfortable - although my daughter said that the camp bed provided was very hard & uncomfortable. There was tea & coffee of usual good quality & flat screen TV. Could do with some extra working power points to charge phones - we were in room 1 & seemed to be more blanking plates than power points - just a minor point really. The adjoining Fayre & Square to nice pub meals & a great breakfast too. Theres plenty of choice at breakfast besides the lovely cooked option - pay for an adult & get two full kids breakfasts free - fantastic value. Staff are very friendly too - tip take car park voucher to bar when ordering & get discount from parking (which was £4 for 24hrs).
Lake is lovely to walk or cycle round with playground for kids - boats right outside & Aerial Extreme plus other things too.
With Gullivers land a short walk away & Milton Keynes 10 minutes drive it's a great base & we will stay again.

I've read a lot of negative comments about this hotel but had a great stay. The bed was very comfy and the staff friendly. The breakfast was also good value too. The location is very nice and I'd happily stay again.

The good: the hotel is location on Willen Lake and close to a lot of nice walking. The area is very scenic. The rooms are very clean and quiet. However, the hotel Lacks the few amenities that make hotel stay convenient: in room phone, you have to pay for WiFi (but you get on the Cloud instead), microwave oven, refrigerator, facial tissue, pens and note pads.

I know that with many people lack of a phone is not a big deal, but for the overseas traveller an in-room phone is very helpful to avoid roaming charges, my SIMM card from Lebara did not connect in this area of the UK.

The staff is polite, but they are limited in their ability to assist. Our in room coffee/tea service was missing spoons, the front desk was not able to get us a simple thing such as two small spoons "because the restaurant took care of that."

Also there is not lobby for meetings or a hotel computer to print out emails boarding passes etc. Basically not a good hotel for the overseas traveller.

Room Tip: Get room with view of lake, located above restaurant so you can get on the restaurant's Wifi, which is a hotspot for The Cloud.

Stayed here on the way back to Hull from the Isle of Wight, we had a very comfortable large family room with bathroom, beds very comfy we even had a balcony. The hotel overlooks the lake which is fantastic there is so much to do lots of walks, water sports etc. Not all the rooms overlook the lake which was fine for us as we only stayed one night. Breakfast was lovely and so was the meal in the adjoining pub. Price was excellent, we may be back for longer!

We stayed here on Friday 18th July for 1 night and found the hotel to be excellent .
The hotel and room was spotlessly clean and all staff we came across were all friendly and always made an effort to say hi.
There is a £4 car park charge but really can't complain. When our room cost was only £29.
We stayed in room 1 which I would highly recommend as it's right in the end corner so is quiet which no late night guests walking by and have a great lake view from the balcony .
Dinner on Friday in the restaurant was very nice and great value and also great breakfast .
All in all a great stay !!
