Lovely hotel with views over the lake! Woke up to the sound of geese, which was nice. Great stay- best premier inn I've stayed in so far. Great restaurant attached with good choice and great value. We stayed here so we could pay golf locally and visit Woburn safari park.

room not bad but in need of some TLC. However don't eat in the attached restaurant service was slow, food was barely adequate, the tables had not been cleaned properly (very sticky) the cutlery was the same. It was worst at breakfast with little available and still sticky tables!

Excellent facilities and very helpful and welcoming staff. Set on the edge of a lake, we were offered a lake view when checking in, from the room we could watch the Geese, Ducks and Swans. The new extension offered everything you could want from a hotel in a scenic setting unexpected on the edge of a city. The Fayre and Square offers a reasonable selection of food next door, and a walk around the lake or part of it is recommended. Will be marking this one in the memory bank, for when we are next in the area.

This was my first time staying in a Premier Inn. We stayed here whilst on business in the nearby area.

The good bits.
Bed was big and comfortable, if a little on the firm side.
Room was certainly large enough.
Good to see coathangers supplied, along with a tea/coffee making facility and a hair dryer.
Breakfast was very good. I've had worse hotel breakfasts for twice the price.
Hotel staff on the front desk are very pleasant, always smiling.
Bath in bathroom as well as a shower. Basic toiletries supplied too, which I was not expecting.

The not so good bits.
Admittedly I had to book with only a few days notice, but the room price is not as 'budget' as I would've expected.
Some mould around the bath/tiles. A bit of HG mould spray would sort this out.
Bar ran out of Doom Bar beer on the first night and never got any more in during the week.
Restaurant/pub has a chavvy clientelle.
Restaurant/bar menu is somewhat limited to "meat and chips". Some more pasta dishes and salads would be good (although this is probably not Premier Inn's fault, but Fayre And Square, who run the pub).

Must Praise.
The restaurant staff. They are mainly young, enthusiastic, professional, get things done without fuss and seem unfazed when things get busy (which it did on the first 2 nights, with a 45 minute wait for food). They are British and they make a mockery of "lazy young Brits don't want to work" or the "all the jobs go to East Europeans". These guys and girls are serious grafters. Good on them!
