“Very happy time for a big booking”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2014

Multiple rooms for a group of Aussie/English travelers for six nights was handled expertly by very friendly staff. There were no complaints from any of our group. One room swap wasn't a problem. In fact, comments were consistently positive from everyone. The lakeside setting is idyllic. Everything was peaceful. Meals in the restaurant were fine. Three upstairs meals for all of us in the "mill" were fun, and the service, though a little slow on a busy night, was done with infectious congeniality ... and we appreciated the split bills. Breakfasts were continental or cooked by request, and a great range appreciated. Parking was free and right at the door. Premier Inn does this one well. We'd be happy to be back. Taking the risk of nonrefundable bookings in advance is scary, but great when it all works out! And best price-wise. Be aware there WILL be bank fees on your credit card!

Room Tip: No lift, but only three floors

Nice, comfortable hotel in a beautiful setting on the edge of a lake. Wonderful walks in all directions. Lots of geese, swans and ducks. Very nice spot to stay for a few days, lots of places to visit including Bletchly Park and Woburn.

Really convenient location for many of the events in MK and nice location with lake views from room but I booked two rooms for the family, one was really nice while the other was much older and the temporary beds for the kids were really rather poor. The weather was swelteringly hot and the room had no air-con a fan (noisy) was supplied but it wasn't a great solution.. I am try to get a refund based on beds via their good night guarantee so this could redeem them.. And why do budget hotels insist on charging for wifi? it really should be as standard as the kettle these days! TBC..

Upon arrival was very impressed with the location. Windmill and lake are not what you normally get from low cost hotel chains. This impression was not diminished by the hotel itself.very clean and comfortable

Stayed here on Thursday after a day at legoland (approx 1hr drive, motorway traffic dependant) ready for a day at Woburn Safari on Friday (15min drive) Excellent location! We arrived at around 7pm and went straight for something to eat in the fayre and square, food is excellent value, considering the price you shouldn't have high expectations but I was pleasantly surprised. We did have a 50 minute wait on the food even though we were told 20 so that was a little annoying after our long day but the only downside. Lovely kids play area and beautiful lakeside location. Friendly reception staff, our room was excellent, clean, ridiculously comfy bed, choice of pillows, tea/coffee facilities and a fan provided as they are obviously aware that the rooms get warm at this time of year. What more could you ask for really, considering the price you can get a room for! Didnt have breakfast so cant comment on that. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on business. The reception process was fine and all staff were friendly. The room was nice, clean and good space. It was a very hot day and the rooms have no air conditioning. I understand why not due to the building size, style and age. There was however a desk fan. The bed as always was very nice and comfy, I had a good night sleep. The restaurant was cheap but nice although was very busy, too busy really. This was mostly due to some sporting events on the lake. The setting around the hotel is lovely. We enjoyed a walk in the evening around the lake. Overall I would stay here again however would probably look for an air conditioned room next time.

Beautiful location , friendly receptionist , room immaculate and convenient for Woburn Safari park. Love premier inn hotels always good standard especially for the price . Free wifi for 1/2 hour added bonus and if you want more only £3 , I can't believe the fantastic value you get at these hotels. Always stay at premier inn if possible
