The hotel is easy to find, partly because of its unusual design, and is only a short walk from the shopping centre. Parking is a bit of an issue here: the free car park in front of the hotel is small, with overflow parking a short distance away at ASDA. Unfortunately they don't seem to have any spaces at the hotel reserved for unloading, before one is directed to the overflow parking.

Our family room was larger than the average, with a lovely view over the river. All clean and in good condition. No noise from other rooms, and beds comfortable. Staff uniformly friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was the usual offering, well prepared and presented. Good coffee from a machine.

The exterior of the hotel could do with a little paint in places, where there are rust marks, but that aside it provided an excellent stop over before catching the car ferry. We booked well in advance, and at the price it was excellent value for money.

I know that air conditioning is rare in the UK but my daughter and I endured an intolerably hot night on the fifth floor of this hotel with only a plastic fan to relieve the oppressive heat. Our room was small and cramped and the bathroom was not well ventilated. On the up side the Receptionist on duty was very helpful and courteous and made up for other shortcomings in the hotel. Maybe it was cooler on the lower floors. I must note that there was no issue with noise during my stay

Excellent place to stay. There was no noise heard from neighbouring rooms. Max from the cafe was excellent and always had a happy smiling face every morning we can down. Breakfast had a really good choice and was always hot and fresh.

Very central, very clean friendly and helpful.
The room had all we could have wished for for an overnight stay and a lovely view of the river.
Parking was very well organised and was free to guests. Purely by entering your registration number, guests had free parking.
Breakfast was very good (full English available). It became apparent that guests could pay on the spot for breakfast - not something that I was told about when booking but we were glad that we were expected and had pre-paid for this.
Very pleasant walking along the riverside and less than 10 minutes to walk into town.
We were advised to book this particular Travelodge to meet for an evening meal, so no idea what else is available in the area apart from shopping and restaurants.

Fantastic staff and fantastic value for money. Centrally located. Excellent. Would strongly recommend to anyone who is either visiting the area or passing through to go to Europe to utilise this establishment.

Modernised hotel throughout, very friendly staff and willingness to help however they can. Car parking explained clearly to avoid charges. Room clean and very presentable. The room room was a little hot although it was a hot summers' day.

I stayed at the Maidstone Travelodge last week, I was going to fill out the survey the hotel sent me but found it very long, so thought I would do a quick review on here as staff did mention it. I found the hotel immaculate and fresh! All staff very welcoming. The room was clean, although a bit warm, I found it good that there was a fan already provided in the room. The hotel was just what I wanted for my 2 night stay. Will definitely recommend to work colleagues and friends. Thank you to all the staff and management at the hotel.
