The staff could not have made us more welcome. Good choice of food at reasonable prices.

“Ridiculous wait, average food, poor service, slightly overpriced”
Reviewed 21 April 2012

A small group of us went for a curry on the 13th April, (that was a Friday maybe that explains our experience) we had been here before so we expected terrible service but the food last time was nice enough to put up with the rude staff and rushed dining.
This time the 3 of us had booked a table, arrived on time but still had to wait 20mins, this wasn't to upsetting as it just showed the popularity of the resturarnt we were served our drinks quickly enough, no menus were given to us during our wait and the little bar area was becoming busier with waiting dinners.
Then we were shown into the cramped dinning space where the number of tables seemed more important than the ability to wield a fork without blinding fellow patrons.
We waited 20mins to be asked of we wanted popapoms, 20mins for them to arrive, 40mins for somebody to take out order, 1 1/2 for the food to arrive, which promptly happened after we threatened to leave. If we hadn't been expecting marvelius food we would have left well before the popapoms arrived.
When the food did arrive my chicken pasanda was bland, tasting more or charcoal than almonds, a sizzling lamb dish was barely warm and the final main was just as dull as my pasanda.
After complaining the owner was generous enough to knock £10 off the bil bring it to £75 for what I can only describe as a hopefully forgettable experience.
To summarise, disappointed.

“Lovely food - excellent service”
Reviewed 14 March 2012

Just lovely - the food was the best quality I have tasted in a restaurant in such a long time. The service was impecable, nothing is too much of a bother. The restaurant is quaint and very cosy. Can't wait to return!!! I recommend the Jahl masala and the Saag paneer - yum yum

“The best indian in maidstone”
Reviewed 28 February 2012

This was such an enjoyable evening! The restaurant is quite small and crowded but thats because its so good!
The staff are so friendly and gave us a whole bottle of wine on the house!
The food was freshly cooked and the group of 4 i was in really enjoyed their meal! The only bad thing was I ordered a Jalfrezi and it was so hot that I couldnt eat it and got the hiccups! So perhaps ask how spicy it all is! I put chilli on everything at home so i am a good spicy food eater but that was too hot! Especially for a jalfrezi!
Do not let this put you off though! Excellent restaurant!

“Best Indian Ever!”
Reviewed 21 February 2012

Four of us visited this restaurant on Saturday night and had a fantastic meal. We reserved in advance and would recommend as the restaurant gets very busy. Every dish that we chose was excellent and the service was prompt and efficient. Prices were reasonable and the total bill including a bottle of wine, 6 beers, starters and main courses with side dishes came to just over £30 per head.
