“Lovely and peaceful”
Reviewed 8 November 2013

What a great place to go with the dog, no matter what the weather it really is a nice relaxing place for a nice stroll with the K9.

Plenty of different routes (avoid the lake if your dog loves water), and there is also a bit of history with some of the old Vinters house still showing.

Reviewed 24 July 2013

well looked after nature resrve, next to the school, can be used as walk through from maidstone town centre to grove green and tesco area, and even walk to bearsted in around 40 minutes on a slow walk (but maybe you walk faster than me) and nice to look at very scenic take a camera, ponds and lakes, and streams, with ducks to feed, benches to sit on and enjoy the view - nice dog walking area

“Lovely peaceful and well cared for reserve”
Reviewed 25 June 2013

This nature reserve is right in the heart of Maidstone and run by the warden and residents who are passionate about keeping this place a haven for wildlife and visitors. Walking round you can see how much it is loved by those who look after it and those that walk there. I have visited and volunteered there and thoroughly recommend it for a peaceful place to walk and collect your thoughts. They have a lovely bird feeding station where you can watch lots of different birds through viewing gaps in the fence. Great place to walk your dog too.

“Blackberrying !”
Reviewed 15 May 2013

I live opposite the reserve and in the past used it a lot, its popular for dog walkers, but is good for a ramble in the summer and to see the wildlife on the lake. In the Autumn when the kids were small we'd raid the hedgerows for blackberries and then we'd make jam.

“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed 11 December 2012

Good place to take children and let them run free without traffic. An excellent duck pond with a good variety of wildlife around and good walking tracks to try.
