We spent three very comfortable nights in this hotel. Room size is good with adequate spaces to spread our luggage. The furnishings are a little dated either dark wood work and wallpaper, well maintained. The air conditioning was welcome and easily adjustable the bed was comfortable
And had the blessing of extra pillows.
The bathroom was a good size with shower over the bath. Both shower and hand basin have
reservoir soap systems and there are no niceties like shower cap or conditioners.
There is no luggage rack in the bedroom
The restaurant is a mixture. Good food from a small but adequate menu, but served by completely untrained waiters. Who lack any style , sophistication or finesse. One asked if pino Grigio was a red or white wine.
After the first half hour there is a charge for wifi and internet, surely a practise that must go. I note that out stays in similar hotels in Europe bore no such charge.

After dropping off our son at his College lodgings we were to check into the Premier Inn at Allington. We got a little confused and went to check in at the town centre one. We decided to stay where we were and Gill the receptionist sorted all out for us and organised our stay. Many thanks Gill and your team.

We stayed at the Maidstone Town Centre PI in August 2014. We used it as a base for a family celebration out of town so cannot comment on how practical it is for visiting Maidstone itself. We chose it over the other local Premier Inns for it's cheaper prices.
Don't follow Google Maps for getting there, it will take you to the drop off area and not the main car park which is poorly signed from the one way system. Car park is very good and free.
Hotel is relatively new (although not newly furbished) Check in was quick and simple, involving a lady standing at a desk with a laptop. The self service desks are very close and either side of the laptop and a little close and intruding to use if the receptionist is speaking to another customer.
We stayed in room 230 on the 2nd floor. This was at the end of the corridor and extremely quiet.
Usual and standard PI set up, tea and coffee, hanging space, small TV, clean room and as always very comfortable bed. Rooms here come with air conditioning, although it wasn't a heat wave it was welcome none the less. We also had a pretty decent view from the room!
We slept extremely well, the curtains let in more light then some other PI's we had stayed in so I woke a little earlier then I'd hoped. Sunday breakfast was 7am-11am but the receptionist provided a card with this information on for us. I was really impressed to see on a card in the room saying if there were any problems that the receptionist staff couldn't help with then to call the manager on his mobile or if you wanted to go further then there was the regional manager's mobile too! Impressive!
We didn't eat dinner in the adjoining Thyme restaurant but did have breakfast. I must say this was one of the best set ups for breakfasts I'd seen at a PI the staff were welcoming and things looked like they were running well with a great selection even though it was very busy.
Check out was super quick and pain free.
Would definitely stay again if needed too.

Room Tip: As with most hotels, top floor is quieter. The car park is accessed on the right on Terrace Road, keep a look out for it from the one way system!

Great meal and a good nights sleep before a trip to Europe, we could not fault the service or value for money. The room was quiet and clean parking was easy and there appeared to be plenty of spaces available.

We stopped at Premier Inn for 4 nights for a short break which lived up to the normal high standards of Premier Inns with a clean, fresh, modern, quiet room and a comfortable bed, managing a good night’s sleep for the duration of our stay, along with friendly and helpful staff. We opted to travel by train so found the hotel to be within very easy reach of Maidstone West Station (about 3 minutes’ walk) and within easy walking distance of the town centre with a selection of bars and various eating establishments. The only problem we encountered was with the adjoining (Thyme) restaurant on our final night when we decided to have the “Meal Deal” which we paid for at the adjoining Premier Inn reception and received a printed receipt at about 730pm. After paying for the “Meal Deal” we booked a table and was told that we would have a table at 830pm. We arrived at the restaurant at about 830pm and was seated within a few minutes of arrival and the food order taken within a reasonable time. After the order was taken things seemed to go downhill. The two courses seemed slow arriving (although the food was very good) and after finishing our meal none of the staff seemed to accept the receipt for the “Meal Deal” and seemed reluctant to accept it and kept disappearing with the receipt and kept checking even though we had paid at the adjoining Premier Inn reception. After about 15 minutes they accepted the receipt and we came out of the restaurant at about 1030pm. They appeared to be short staffed on the night of our visit. We had used “Meal Deal” in the past for the same cost at other Premier Inns which included a 3 course meal plus a drink and the “All you can eat Breakfast” but the Thyme Restaurant is only a 2 course meal plus a drink and the “All you can eat Breakfast”.
