Homely B&B in a lovely area. rooms are well accommodated, cosy and clean. Owner Emma is extremely friendly and down to earth person who is easy to talk to. Help us out by dropping us to local pub rather than paying for taxi, also not to mention she cook a lovely breakfast with a decent amount of options fresh fruit etc.

Thanks for having us

Danielle and Danny

I stayed for 2 nights and took full advantage of the facilities.

Room was upgraded to a double for free. Always a good start. The room was a good size with good facilities. Wifi, tv. The shower was excellent. Nice and hot and spacious. So a big plus for me.

The breakfast was also very good and being created with a cup of tea a nice touch.

Would happily use again. And recommend.

Not having stayed in a B&B for many years, I was initially rather wary but need not have had any concerns at all. Room was quite small but had an extremely large and comfortable bed. Bathroom was spacious with everything you need, including toiletries. Room was pleasantly warm with more than adequate storage for clothing. The light throw was a nice touch - I have arthritis in my knees and after a hard days walking in the cool damp weather we experienced, it was great to wrap them in this to ease the ache! The breakfast in the morning was excellent - really good bacon and eggs that couldn't have been fresher (own hens in garden!) However the best part was the friendliness of the owners and their staff. They were helpful and informative. The B&B is ideally situated for attending the Kent Showground but be aware that your own transport is necessary as public transport is some distance away (circa 0.5 miles), limited and unreliable. One bus I went for was 20 minutes late - on a trip that took 20minutes!!!!

A colleague and I booked rooms whilst attending a conference at the nearby Kent Showground. Lovely rural setting with free range chickens and pond.
I had the ground floor single room which had an excellent bathroom/toilet, Samsung TV with superb picture and comfortable bed. Tasty full English breakfast finished off an excellent stay.

Room Tip: One double bedroom had the bed positioned up against the wall which could make getting out during th...

Woke up in the morning to get a shower after a long trip from Liverpool to find there was no hot water. When we first got in the room the tv wouldn't work. Then received a towel with stains on. Apart from that the bed and breakfast is ok.

We took this booking at a lower price as it was a quiet night. A double room was booked but it turned out this late check in were two men who wanted a twin room. Thankfully our guest agreed to swap rooms. I offered to take their rubbish away after they had their take away in the breakfast room and as they didn't have to work unitl the following evening I offered a later checkout with a cooked breakfast and full use of our breakfast buffet. The ariel for the TV had come away so I put it back in. As to the shower all the hot water was emptied in the first of the two showers so we offered an alternative. Thank you for your review.

Looked for B & B for peace & quiet and that's what we got in spades. The welcome was warm and friendly as was the tea/coffee. Our room was just right, a comfortable space after days out for a quiet nights rest. Breakfast was really good, kept us going through the day and were those eggs from Emmas hens I wonder?. It was so relaxing sitting in the garden early morning with a coffee and my book and the company of Max and Ruby.
Detling Coachhouse is so much better than a couple of hotels we've stayed in and will definitely stay any time we're back in the area.
The Coachhouse is in such a great position as a base for touring the area aswell, close enough to and far enough from so many places to visit.
Our thanks for being there.
