We went in last night, a Thursday evening, at 8.15pm so fairly late but well before they close the kitchen. We went in to try out the food as we were planning on booking this restaurant for a party next year.
We asked for a table for 2 and the lady at the bar asked if we had booked, I said no, but on our way in we saw at least 3 tables of 2 empty. She said they only take bookings so they couldn’t seat us.
I have since been on their website and no where does it say that you must pre book, unless you are a group over 20.
Needless to say we won’t be booking our party here next year, where they would have made a few thousand from us. We will go to a venue which actually cares about their clients and has staff who can be bothered to help.
Next time perhaps the staff will think twice before turning people away when they clearly have tables free.

We have previously visited here for drinks and enjoyed the location and venue a lot! This time we decided to eat here - and what a mistake that was. We arrived to find the menu much more expensive than anticipated. No worries we thought, you pay for what you get, little did we know this was not the case.
£18 for a (and take this description lightly) mixed seafood dish with shellfish which consisted of 3 peices of poorly deep fried cod and some scattered similarly poorly deep fried prawns and calamari with as bland as the middle of a dulux colour chart.
The calamari closely relates to the plastic content of the ocean with a plastic, rubbery and dissapointing taste.
In summation, great to drink here, but if you want food you'd be better off at the local kebabby.

Went here for drinks with friends, it's a lovely setting with great views and the boat is done out really nicely. But when trying to get service we were treated very rudely by the staff, one girl who was either the manager or very much thought she was was incredibly rude to us, but when we heard her serving food customers she was nice as pie.
Honestly don't go here unless you want to spend a fortune on food, because it's not the sort of place you can relax and get nice service. The drinks are extortionate I was sold a bottle of pino for £21 and it tasted like vinegar.
Better off going to weatherspoons- genuinely better service

You would think being the only customers in the restaurant you would get good service, well think again. Half of the food was unattainable on the night, and to ask for a bit of bread to came with your starter was just too much for them, BUT to finish it off they wanted £2.50 for one bit of small ciabatta,in most restaurants it would come with a smelted cheese starter, so you see why we said forget the starters. Main course just not worth talking about.
