We attended a birthday party in the function room and stayed overnight in the hotel. The rooms were great value, were clean and comfortable and had everything in them that you could need. The staff are friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast was really nice and included in the price of the room. The function we attended was well run and the function room itself is a great size and has character and atmosphere. I know the decor is a little dated but the hotel is homely and has character and yes you can hear some noise through the bedroom walls at times but nothing to the point of being annoyed by it. I would say if you are a picky person that likes to find fault then this is not the hotel for you but any one relaxed and easy going and happy to adapt to their surroundings, will find this hotel a great choice. There were about 14 rooms booked out to the function we attended and every person that stayed overnight was happy with their accommodation. I would definitely consider using the function room again and also staying at the hotel.

I was looking for a small independant hotel somewhere in the town of Maidstone. I stayed at the Grange Moor with my wife. Right from check in to check out the staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable, tea & coffee facilities and a flat screen tv. Free wifi throughout. The food was very good and the choice on the munu was good. The only downside, which was a big one, was when we got into bed and realised you could hear the people in the next room as if they were in the same room as us. All the conversation, every cough, opening drawers and using the bathroom. It is a great shame but this was enough to put us off staying again. The hotel seems to have an awful lot of trades people staying, lots of vans in the car park. It was excellent value for money, we onl;y paid £117 for 2 nights b&b. If only they could sort out the soundproofing it would be a perfect place to stay.

Room Tip: Not sure if they have rooms that have solid walls but maybe worth asking when you book.

Hotel is dated, rooms are absolutely tiny and the so called ensuite was in actual fact the size of a shoe cupboard.
The walls are paper thin we were woken up every hour by other guests.

Overall, this is not a 3 star hotel not worth the money at all. Would recommend staying in a travel lodge or the premier inn instead!

We stayed here, as part of a larger group on what was a very busy night for the hotel (they were fully booked). As mentioned by others, the hotel décor and the rooms could definitely do with a refresh but, as is always important, the room was very clean throughout.

Dinner was excellent. For our group alone, the hotel was cooking a 3 course meal for around 80 people, including a challenging main course of steak (cooked to individual preference). The serving staff were very good, as was the food itself and I didn’t hear anyone having problems with their steak wrongly cooked etc. Bar prices for drinks were also very reasonable.

The staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and polite, the receptionist, any staff you passed in the corridors, and the serving staff at both dinner and breakfast. All in all, an enjoyable stay and good value for the area

That's as good as it gets.
Food is awful, rooms are tired but acceptable.
Room directly above kitchen so I listened to the staff having their early morning chats, the night porter listening to his music, the dish washer coming on and the doors between the kitchen and the dining hall constantly banging.
Gentleman in the door next door sounded like he was coughing along up, he wasn't loud it's just the walls are paper thin.
Take the front of house and housekeeping staff out of the equation and this wouldn't be 1 star.

You can't polish a turd.

Room Tip: Avoid room 6/7/8
