The moment we spoke to Sandy on the phone to advise what time we would be arriving we knew we’d have a good time. If you want a typical English B & B experience then stay at Catnap – it’s quiet, clean and comfortable and almost like home from home as everything we required was there. Sandy and Tony are a fun couple and were excellent hosts. Sandy even offered to do our washing for us before we left. We had a sweet room with single beds which at our age (in our 60’s) was okay and we shared a bathroom with a lovely lady Joan, visiting from Canada. At the breakfast table the conversations were so interesting it was hard to get up and go out for the day. We’d hired a car and Catnap’s position was ideally situated for visits to Chatham Dockyard, Cobham, Battle in Sussex, Herne Bay, Reculver, Broadstairs etc. Before visiting make sure you have worked out the route as there are many one-way systems in Maidstone – however if you get lost then a quick call to Sandy or Tony will set you right. We hope to visit again.
