The hotel was in a great location for the Warner Brother's Studio Tour which I had booked for the following day. We managed to find the hotel more by luck and gut instinct than good directions. When you arrive (by car) you have to hope there's room for a quick luggage drop off as the hotel does not have it's own car park. We managed to park up briefly while we checked in and found out where we could park the car - there is a car park directly opposite which costs £4.50 for 24 hours which is pretty good. It is not a secure car park so leaving your car there is at your own risk but we didn't have any problems thankfully. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the centre of town (and pubs/restaurants etc).
We were on the fourth floor and our room was located near the lifts. We kept hearing a noise that sounded like a foghorn and was puzzled as to what it was but finally realised it was the noise of the lifts going up and down. I would recommend asking for a room away from the lifts as you then avoid the worst of the noise of people coming and going as well.
The room itself was a good size for the 3 of us and was very clean. The bathroom was nice and had a shower over the bath. We got 2 keys for the room so that my brother (a smoker) could come and go as he pleased. Staff on the reception were friendly and helpful when I went to check if breakfast was included in our room rate which sadly it wasn't. We were informed it was £10 per person for breakfast so we decided to get breakfast elsewhere as my brother doesn't eat breakfast anyway.
We didn't sleep too well ( I tend to not sleep well when not in my own bed anyway). There was quite a bit of noise with people coming and going quite loudly but this died down after a while.
The television channels were very limited - no 1-5 and a random selection of other channels (2 of which were news channels).
This hotel is all about location and convenience. There were some small niggles as detailed above but overall it is a good hotel with friendly staff and clean rooms.
