“Surprise stay for my mum's 60th birthday”
Reviewed 25 August 2014

The hotel was in a great location for the Warner Brother's Studio Tour which I had booked for the following day. We managed to find the hotel more by luck and gut instinct than good directions. When you arrive (by car) you have to hope there's room for a quick luggage drop off as the hotel does not have it's own car park. We managed to park up briefly while we checked in and found out where we could park the car - there is a car park directly opposite which costs £4.50 for 24 hours which is pretty good. It is not a secure car park so leaving your car there is at your own risk but we didn't have any problems thankfully. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the centre of town (and pubs/restaurants etc).
We were on the fourth floor and our room was located near the lifts. We kept hearing a noise that sounded like a foghorn and was puzzled as to what it was but finally realised it was the noise of the lifts going up and down. I would recommend asking for a room away from the lifts as you then avoid the worst of the noise of people coming and going as well.
The room itself was a good size for the 3 of us and was very clean. The bathroom was nice and had a shower over the bath. We got 2 keys for the room so that my brother (a smoker) could come and go as he pleased. Staff on the reception were friendly and helpful when I went to check if breakfast was included in our room rate which sadly it wasn't. We were informed it was £10 per person for breakfast so we decided to get breakfast elsewhere as my brother doesn't eat breakfast anyway.
We didn't sleep too well ( I tend to not sleep well when not in my own bed anyway). There was quite a bit of noise with people coming and going quite loudly but this died down after a while.
The television channels were very limited - no 1-5 and a random selection of other channels (2 of which were news channels).
This hotel is all about location and convenience. There were some small niggles as detailed above but overall it is a good hotel with friendly staff and clean rooms.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the lifts as they can be quite noisy

On site parking would make it perfect, but use the facility opposite.

Good sized room for the 4 of us, breakfast was plentiful and well organised (Black pudding please), and the staff were polite and helpful. Free access to lock box, bathroom well equipped, great location for the main rail station.

Room Tip: Book direct for premium wifi upgrade.

We have just returned from a short break to see harry potter world and visit london. I feel I have to write a review as the whole experience was fantastic. The hotel is perfectly located for both and you can jump on a bus that takes you directly to harry potter world from the station nearby. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable and all the staff very welcoming and efficient. A special thanks to Amy Louise on reception who was friendly and efficient and for sorting out a fridge in our room so quickly. We travel a lot and its unusual for there not to be something to complain about but I really cant. The manager should be very proud of his staff as they all go that extra mile.

We have just returned from a weekend away in Watford as we were visiting the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter. The hotel is in a perfect location. We were a 10 minute drive from the studio tour and a 5 minute walk into Watford town centre. If travelling by train, Watford Junction train station is roughly a 10 minute walk strait down to the hotel. Once we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by very helpful and friendly staff who were more than happy to help with any questions/queries. We stayed in rooms 318 and 319 of the hotel which was based on the 5th floor. The rooms were very spacious, very clean and had everything you needed for the stay. A big bonus was the free WiFi! As we were out most days, once we got back to the hotel, we usually stayed by the bar in the evening. The bar had a good selection of drinks and there was a bar menu with a good choice of food. The food was very tasty! A big thanks to Tom and Lauren who were serving behind the bar during our stay. They were both very helpful and friendly. The hotel doesn't have much car parking space so we had to park the car in a car park opposite the hotel. As we only stayed for 2 days we didn't spend that much on parking however a 24 hour stay costs £4.50. Overall our stay was excellent and I would recommend the hotel to anyone thinking of visiting. Thank you Jury's Inn!

This hotel was exactly what I needed, poised perfectly between Watford Junction train station and the town centre. Easy 10 minute walk from the Trains and 5 minutes from the town and also the theatre. I had a disabled room which, although spacious, is never ideal. The bathrooms aren't great for the able-bodied. The room was clean and airey and quiet. I used the bar area which was fine, although quiet. I only have one complaint about this hotel and that is breakfast. The food was great, loads of choice and well laid out, but on arrival there were no tables clear to use, all the tables were either occupied or had the evidence of recent occupancy. The tables need to be cleared quicker to cope with the number of people passing through

Well located near the shopping centre and Watford Junction station - no car park. The price is reasonable for the area, the rooms are clean and standard size and equipment for this type of hotel. Reception is efficient and friendly, the bar and bar food are reasonable, the restaurant service can be a bit erratic in the evening. Breakfast is the standard hot and cold self service buffet.

Overall a good business hotel. I go back regularly given the other local choices.

Room Tip: Go for a room at the back, if you want a window open at night it can get busy at the front as the cl...

Tom and Henry give excellent service and are always helpful and friendly.Nothing is too much trouble. The food in the bar is nice too with a good variety of beer and wine. Marie is always smiling and provides excellent service too.
