Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Mecure and would recommend it. There are a few areas we feel they could improve.
On arrival the staff seemed disinterested and like they would rather be somewhere else. They didn't speak to us as we walked it so I said we would like to check in and gave them my printed booking confirmation. The lady at the desk then told us we should leave as we could not check in until 2pm. However I stated we had paid extra to get early check in from 10am. As is clearly said in the piece of paper I gave her.
We were given two key cards at the beginning of our stay. When we got to our room only one of them worked. During our 2 day stay, each of the keycards stopped working twice. On realising this we would go to reception and tell them. They offered no apology, just looked shocked and said they had fixed it,
We booked out deal that included a "free 3 course dinner" on our first night. We were told that this would be a budget of £22 per person excluding drinks. This seemed adequate until we looked at the menu and realised we would only just get two courses each off the menu, not three due to the price! The calamari and chicken burger were lovey! My boyfriend had the steak, it was nice, but not worth...Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Mecure and would recommend it. There are a few areas we feel they could improve.

My boyfriend had the steak, it was nice, but not worth the money it was on the menu for! We decided not to eat here on our second night! One of the staff members at dinner was lovely! The rest seemed to have something better to do than serve the 5 tables they had! We were not asked how we wanted the steak cooked, nor were we given a drinks menu! We had to get up and approach the staff when we needed a drink!
The leisure facilities were really good! Pool, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room and gym! You get given a locker key and towel on arrival. We really enjoyed this aspect!
The location of the hotel is also good. Several shops and places to eat down the road. We got a taxi into the town centre a couple of times for £10 each way which wasn't bad at all!
Oh and the breakfast was fab! So much choice and the staff catered for every need!More
