We stayed here after going to the Harry Potter studios and although the outside looks a little drab the inside is immaculate.
We were supposed to stay in a junior suite but on arrival we were told that the only suite left was a smoking suite and so they offered us two inter connecting rooms instead which we took. This was better for us as it meant the kids could sleep apart from us and everyone got a good nights sleep.
The rooms are tidy and clean. My only negative feeling was that the bathroom was a little tired looking but the shower was lovely and hot so it didn't bother me at all.
The beds were comfy and big enough.
We went to the bar to eat and enjoyed the food a lot. The kids shared a pizza which was tasty.
We also had a film and popcorn included in the price of our stay. The popcorn came hot and dead on time from room service. We chose and watched a movie with the kids which was a great way to end a spectacular day.
Breakfast was nice. There was plenty of choice and cooked breakfast was great.
There was more than enough staff to help out and they were always very polite and friendly.
I would stay here again.

Service from staff was good. General reception was also well presented. The room standards are not up to that expected for a Hilton. The brans name is carrying this particular site. I have stayed in Premier Inn's with far better room standards and quieter sleeps. This hotel does not offer value for money, rather a location of convenience.

It looked shabby from the outside. On entry, the decor was tired and old. The staff (just the one lady) at the reception was quite unfriendly. The view from the room was awful...the car park. The house keeping staff were quite inefficient and didn't seem to understand what we were talking about. It's not all negative though, breakfast was excellent. Very good variety and the staff in the restaurant were very friendly, the best in the hotel I'd say. All in all, I personally won't be making a return visit.

I stayed here with my young son for one night - it is well located to drive to the Arsenal FC training facility.

It isn't the most modern hotel, but it is clean and everything was in good order. The single beds in our twin room were a bit narrow for my liking, but neither of us fell out of bed so they must be OK.. The breakfast was very good. The front desk, restaurant and especially the housekeeping staff were very pleasant and friendly. I left a toilet bag in my room, and the hotel sent it to me after I called to ask for it. I was most impressed with the service.

The pool and health club looked nice but I didn't have time to use them.

Recommended.

We are a family of four and booked this hotel at the last minute on the premise of it being close to The Harry Potter Studio Tour (the purpose of the trip) and that it had a pool. The hotel is very dated and in dire need of a refit, to be fair the public spaces are kept clean and the staff are friendly. We had a junior suite with a double bed and a double sofa bed for the two children, both beds were very uncomfortable the sofa bed being more like a egg slicer with blanket for a matress. Almost every floorboard creeked loudly i think this was the same for the entire area of the hotel as we could hear the creeking from our neighboring rooms also, the bathroom floor wasn't cleaned very well and the shower head had it's own echo system as did the showers in the pool/gym area. We didn't eat at the hotel as it looked nicer for lunch and breakfast at the pub next door and there was a nice chinese restaurant five minutes down the road. We would of complained in the night but we were all tired from the HP tour and the kids would of slept on a clothes line (and did) and we didn't want the messing of moving to another room in the night and to be honest we didn't think it would improve if we did. We did let them know about the bad night sleep and poor room at check out (we joined the queue) and they were very apologetic. If you are visiting HP tour dont stay at a hotel in town there's usually a car park if your driving and there's the HP tour bus from the train station if your not. This hotel is very old and very worn and very dated and i am very suprised it reached #6 in the trip adviser ratings, i would hate to see #7.

Room Tip: Select a room in another hotel.

A very nice hotel in watford with neatly laid out rooms and nice restaurant for breakfast though slightly away from the town center but otherwise a nice stay at watford countryside, with a nice sauna and steam room.
