“Good value for money”
Reviewed 9 May 2013

The hotel was good value for money. The room was to a good standard and clean. The only thing that I would say is that the decor and bathroom could be updated as the bath suite was grey.

The location of the hotel is very convenient for the train / tube station and the local shopping centre. On the way to the train / tube station there is a lovely park that we walked through. You would think that you were in the countryside.

We would stay here again.

Very pleasant hotel just out of the centre of Watford. Is is just a thee minute walk from the main town centre. The rooms were bigger than i had expected but the walls are a little thin. Breakfast was good and quite entertaining. Waitress got a little flustered when the rush of 10 guests appeard within 30 minutes of each other. Bless!

Room Tip: Pick one away from the creaky stairs.

If you need a bed and your not bothered about decoration then its fine. If your the sort who cares about decoration even though you don't live in the place then don't book this place. Aye, its seventies but its not claiming to be owt else, they have a bidet, not seen a bidet for years.

We arrived to the hotel quite late but we were made welcome and upon arrival in to our room we were very happy with the cleanliness and facilities we had in our superior room. Parking was in a secure area which made us feel confident with the safety of our car. Overall a very good experience, we would definately use this hotel again in the future.

Room Tip: We found the superior double room to be good value

The hotel is well located for the town centre . There is adequate parking . On entering the hotel it looks very jaded . The staff were all very pleasant and helpful . The hotel and bedroom were very clean . However the hotel needs a total makeover ,it is still stuck in the 70 s and not of a standard that a hotel should be today .
The rooms also suffer from very thin walls. So you do get noise from your neighbour .

Room Tip: Room away from the road .

Stayed here for a night whilst visiting the local hospital. It's quite basic and could do with modernising, but it's ok. The room has all the facilities you need (but not a safe) and it's very close to the town. The room was a bit noisy (you could hear people walking about in the room above), but it soon stopped. Breakfast was okay, but the service was great. Good car parking too.
