Living close to this restaurant but having never tried it, the opportunity arose when a friend suggested Chinese. Being bank holiday Saturday, I booked a table on-line which wasn't necessary.
On entering although I stated I had booked, nobody seemed bothered nor checked any booking list. Our table for two was slightly larger than usual meaning that we seemed to be seated just a bit too far apart for an easy conversation!
We chose the fixed price menu. The service was efficient and quick and they responded to our requests promptly but everyone was gruff and it seemed like they felt they were doing us a favour by serving us at all. There wasn't a hint of the friendly service which permeates so many restaurants today.
The food was reasonably hot (but nothing to keep it hot so it got cold before we were finished) and perfectly edible albeit not particularly exciting. The quantity was more than sufficient - no gripes there. Chopsticks were provided and no one cutlery so that might be an issue for some.
All in all, we felt a little uncomfortable and the food wasn't special enough to persuade us to revisit or recommend this restaurant.
