“A bit manky”
Reviewed 28 October 2012

Had some lunch here that tasted really bad. Had chicken and chips. The chicken tasted like it had very badly tasting sauce on it or it had just gone off.

“Lovely Balti food”
Reviewed 24 September 2012

I like Balti food so this was an ideal place to go. It's a simple cafe/takeaway. The food is freshly prepared and very good value for money

“steer clear”
Reviewed 14 September 2012

went back to spicy bite after some abscence and i wont be going back again, changed hands to many times, bought chicken tikka biryani and tikka masala, biryani wasnt to bad minus vegetable curry that you were suppossed to get with it,masala was pure rank, onion bhajis were taken out of a plastic bag in freezer and i have never seen a colour like it. they looked like uncooked chicken all pink and again tasted rank....scrub this place off your list if you fancy a curry theres plenty of places in north watford..

“Massive dissapointment”
Reviewed 18 June 2012

Having been a regular at Spicy Bite in North Watford for the last 2 years, and friendly with its owners and chef, I was deeply dissapointed today to find out it has recently changed ownership. I hoped the quality would not be affected but it has drastically gone down - crass red signage; messy restaurant with some guy sitting at a reception desk on his computer; searly service (not the chef hes friendly); watery, oily, premade vegetable curry; dry wraps; tasteless roti - what a massive shame given how amazing the curries here used to be. I will sorely miss the old crew and will be eating out somewhere else from now on.

Given the massive competition in watford I doubt these guys will last once word gets round.

“Best Lamb Briyani I've had”
Reviewed 26 July 2011

We got a Spicy Bite takeaway menu through the door and thought we'd try it out- we weren't disappointed! We ordered the Lamb Briyani, Chicken Tikka Masala, and we also tried the Chicken Tiger Wings. We found the quality of the food to be good and prices were reasonable too. The only downside was that we had to wait 45mins for delivery but as it was a Friday night I guess that is to be expected. Overall, we would definitely recommend this place next time you fancy an indian takeaway!
